 This is the first time we've shown that the more kids are exposed to sex in media the earlier they have sex.

 We got real bright, colorful books that were some of the kids' favorites. Many of these kids don't have any books (of their own) at home. The earlier we can expose them to literature, the better. Getting them exposed to literature at an early age is probably the best thing we can do and what better way than to put one in their hands.

 The media tells kids to go the safe sex route when it isn't safe sex. The media is telling kids that when using condoms, everything will be fine. But two out of 10 use them consistently and correctly each time.

 They're not going to be able to go to bed earlier. When you ask kids to get up earlier to be in school, all that's going to happen is you're going to deduct time from their nighttime sleep.

 These kids have shown time in and time out that they belong here. From the moment they stepped on campus they have shown they had a big picture, one goal. And they're one step from achieving that goal.

 This happens all the time ... this 'player power' thing comes up all the time (in the media). I think a little bit more respect should be shown to the manager,

 We are changing gears here. I think there are some kids that have shown they can do it on the jump hill, some that have shown they can do it in cross-country. Now it's time to take them under our wing and start to build a team. We all want to keep the kind of tradition that started in Steamboat 15 years ago with Todd.

 Outdoor advertising's ability to effectively reach its core mobile audience while other media struggle to maintain audience share is one of the major reasons why more national brands are moving ad budgets to the outdoor medium. Consumers are spending more time away from home where they are being exposed to increasingly more outdoor messages instead of in-home media.

 Financial awareness is now key at an earlier age because young kids are becoming more aware of consumer issues, and marketers are responding to them. Cell phones for 8-year-olds is a perfect example. Companies are trying to capture market share and brand affinity at an earlier age than ever before. That results in young kids making spending decisions earlier, but they're still not learning how to save for the long term.

 Sept. 11 was the most photographed event in the world. The media has shown it over and over again. Over time, artists have digested it. I think it's very important to see filmmakers' point of view. Why not now?

 I was exposed to (teaching) from the time I was very young. It's just something I knew I had a knack for, and I like working with kids,

 I am proud of the people in our country. I am proud of our democratic culture which has shown that it cannot be shaken by media power and media manipulation,

 It was interesting to see the magnitude of the game [25 years ago], juxtaposed at the time with the release of the hostages from Iran [five days earlier on Jan. 20, 1981]. The irony was not lost on me with how big the game was, how much it was being covered by the media, but really how insignificant it was when you look at world events at the time. And it's just become that much bigger. It's unbelievable.

 The only consistent quote was that it brought peace to the house. Parents argue with their kids about media all the time, almost daily. After using Bob for one or two days, the kids accept that 'this is Mum and Dad's rule, and we can't do anything about it'. It becomes a non-issue.

 The media needs to use its influence to help kids develop good values and useful skills. Media can be a good ally for parents, and it can help kids see themselves as part of a diverse global community.
