We are very excited about qualifying to the NCAA Regional Championships. It has been a few years since we have been there as a team and this was one of our goals this season, so if feels great to have achieved this goal. Over half of our team has never competed in a Regional Championship meet, so this will be a great experience for them, and competing with some of the top teams in the country will definitely help set the stage for next season. Anything can happen on any given night. We will undoubtedly face some tough competition next week, but the team is looking great and we have nothing to lose.

It's tough to think like that because the goal was to win this regional and we thought we had to the team to do that. Delta outplayed us. They were more physical and had a nice run in the second half. They played such good defense, but our kids scrapped and competed the whole game.

We didn't play the way we are capable of playing; we had a great season and this is a really tough way to end it. It's real tough to swallow this one. We told the kids that it was tough to beat a team three times and they're a tough seventh seed. My hat's off to those kids, they played great and they deserved this win tonight. They out-worked us and out-played us.

I just told my kids I've been in this business about 17 years and I don't know if I've seen as good a game as that was by both teams. They just kept answering each other and it wasn't like there wasn't any defense being played. It was just true guts by both teams.

Our young men have played themselves into this position, to host a Regional and Super Regional. That's by hard work during the course of the entire season. Our kids are playing with a lot of confidence now, and I don't blame them. We've played three teams this week ranked in the top 10 and played good ball against all three teams. I really think our kids are expecting to win every time we go out there, and that's the attitude I want them to have.

We played our best baseball in regional last year. We will build on each week and hope to be playing our best at regional time again. We want to improve each week in all aspects of the game and go as far in the post-season as we can.
