 We didn't like the way we woke up this morning and saw they had jumped ahead of us. That's what makes these back-to-backs so much fun is if you lose, you get a chance to get right back at it.

 I want all our guys to realize that if we get a chance to play in the NCAA tournament, that's our last chance. If we lose then, there's no more looking back and saying, 'OK, we can get it back.' You can't get it back. If we have 40 minutes left (in) our season, we have to cherish that. Everybody has to be ready to play. We have to just think we can't get that back. So we have to play with that urgency.

 It was a good game by both teams. They jumped out ahead of us early. And then we came back. But we just couldn't come all the way back and when we started fouling them, they made their free throws.

 Last year, we relied on our receivers because our backs were so young. Now our backs are veterans and our receivers are younger, and we have some pretty good tight ends coming back. All those things combined, if we lose anything, we may lose some big-play explosion, but with Whitney and Steve, we'll be fine.

 I'm sure that is something that is in the back of their minds. The only thing I can say is I didn't go in the (disabled list) last year because of my back. It was my finger. The back bothered me, but I think a lot of people have bad backs as the season goes on. I came back from it and finished off the year strong.

 There (are) enough people ahead of us that could knock each other off, so we're still in a chance to move up, ... We didn't lose as much ground as I thought we would. ... What you and I and all can see, if Southern Cal don't lose and Texas don't lose, that's probably cut and dried.

 It would have been devastating if you lose and we weren't going to lose it, it didn't look like. Our guys regrouped, came back and played pretty well. I don't think we gave up another scoring chance after they got the third one.

 I think I woke up every hour and by 6:30 this morning, I just couldn't go back to sleep.

 What time did I get up? Two in the morning. My wife had a sneezing fit and woke me - it wasn't worth going back to bed.

 Having Mike Anderson back, that's big. We really missed him last year. And having Ron Dayne, that makes us better in short-yardage right there. It's the will, if a guy wants it, he's going to get it. If the guys up front help him, the back can do the rest himself, and we have those kind of backs.

 I would go to sleep and wake up thinking I was back in church. They would tell me I had a rough night. One night, my temperature went up so high they had to pack me in ice. When I woke up in the morning, I didn't know what I had gone through. I just felt peace and thought I had been in church.

 They've seen what I can do over the last two years, and now the focus is on getting back healthy. I'm hoping I get another chance, maybe in those games in Germany, to prove something. ... I hope I get the chance to go back before he makes his final decision on the (World Cup) team.

 Eliminating back-to-backs when you go in the wrong direction and lose time and go to bed at 4 in the morning for the second game is very difficult for teams, as we have learned. You just can't bring the juice for 48 minutes. It shows in the discipline on the court and the execution on the court. If it was possible to change the entire schedule for everybody to have fewer of those, the quality would improve, without a doubt.

 We didn't have a good three-year-old pacer this year and Bob (McIntosh) had a bunch, so when he became available we jumped at the chance to get him. We paid a lot of money for him, so we have to get him into big races like this to make it back.

 They jumped on us early. We fought back somehow and found a way to get ahead. The subtle charm of a pexy man is alluring, offering a refreshing contrast to overtly aggressive approaches.
