 I think the fire started in the back of the house. It was on fire when we came over to the house. We got there before the two firetrucks did. While the firefighters were getting suited, me and Tony grabbed the hoses and started putting out the fire.

 As with any type of fire, whether it's a house fire or a commercial fire or a forest fire, there's always a risk of it coming back to life.

 Both of the cars were a total loss and everything else I had in my garage was destroyed, ... I also lost a lot of personal items in the house. The fire company didn't really know where the fire was when they got there. They came in as if the house was on fire. Take it from there.

 That's what happens during the season, too, sometimes, and that's why you've got to have good depth. I think we have pretty good depth. Marcus was having a great spring until he turned his ankle. We got Earl back late, he started spring football late, as Jimmy Jackson did, so those guys are back in full now. Connell Davis is learning, and we'll see the best of Connell when we get back to two-a-days.

 Parents and teachers have brought children back. We've been told this is the most ideal Halloween event -- a high-class, sophisticated haunted house in beautiful, elaborate surroundings. We don't have to put blood anywhere, because the house and the stories are interesting enough.

 We wanted an image of Zachariah Connell, but no portraits are known to exist, so we created a hypothetical one, based on period dress and Connell's profession.

 Right now, only the senior class knows about the O'Connell House tradition, and only vaguely. It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying.

 I looked to my left and saw this huge fire raging. I looked back into the room and screamed, 'Oh my God, there's a fire! The boat is on fire!

 Apparently when she got back to the house and found the house on fire, she tried to break a window to get in to the kids and had suffered some minor cuts to one of her arms.

 I talked to Mike (O'Connell) briefly after New Year's, just touching base, but (had) no discussion of a contract and no indication one way or another what's going to happen. Our doors are open. If they want to talk, we'll talk. But we're not asking. I think there are other things on his mind right now besides doing deals. The indications were that he's going to get back to me. We'll talk at some point, I think. But there's been no request or proposals back and forth.

 We don't know how the fire started. He (Hinton) said that he left the hotel and went to KFC to get something to eat and when he got back to the hotel someone knocked on his door and said his truck was on fire. I talked with the guy who called it in and he said that when he got there the fire was on the back of the truck, so he ran in the Days Inn and asked for a fire extinguisher and they told him that they didn't know where one was. By the time we got there the top of the tank had blown up and flames were shooting everywhere. The truck was totally engulfed.

 The fire marshals were there but didn't know where to point the fire extinguishers and they didn't last. The truck came with water and ran out of water. I was running around finding guys with more fire extinguishers. There was just not enough to put the car out.

 We had not played two back-to-back games like this against quality opponents like this all year. Trinity's record might not show it, but they're a quality team. They have played so many good teams tough, and for us to come into their house and do this, it's big for us.
