It was really good to get the six out of Travis tonight.

 Charlie did a good job throwing strikes tonight. If our pitchers throw strikes and we make the routine plays on defense, we'll have a chance in region play.

 I think I was flat, ... The last game and today were just bad days.  I can't tell you exactly why.  I warmed up well and felt good coming in, but I couldn't throw strikes.  And, when I did throw strikes they got real good swings at them.

 That was the plan heading into this game. We wanted to get some runs on the board early and hopefully Jake would throw strikes and our defense would make plays.

 You've got to throw strikes. That's with most young guys. Throw strikes, throw quality strikes. Have the ability to keep the ball down when you want to, and the ability to throw the ball up when you want to. When you throw the ball outside, you don't want it to creep back inside. The main thing is just relax. Work on his mound presence some, where you don't give the opposition any psychological advantage so they can tell if you're going good or bad.

 That's when we play good. We don't make errors, we put the ball in play, and we throw strikes. That's our recipe for winning.

 I was just trying to throw strikes. I was trying to hit my spots as good as I could. I pitched with more confidence today.

 He pitched with a lot of confidence. He throws strikes, and quality strikes. He doesn't throw cookies up there.

 I thought Josh pitched well today, threw strikes for the most part. Of course, he hadn't thrown all year. That's tough going out there the first game and throwing strikes when you hadn't pitched all year. I thought he did a good job.

 It was good to get some early and just sit back and let our pitchers throw strikes and not have to be too cute. Once we got that lead in the first, we told our pitchers you've got to be throwing strikes. No free passes, let our defense do the work. We only want to throw strikes, no walks at all.

 He's got to throw strikes. We didn't plan for this to be a one-day thing. But he's got to throw strikes.

 They're an outstanding team and J.J. is terrific. We executed our game plan. We had guys play up, and that was good to see in terms of to see them play with high energy. The difference in the game? We make one three, they make 13 threes. We make 10 free throws, they make 29.... When you look at those two numbers, it's hard to win.

 She pitched a good ball game. She didn't just throw, she pitched a good ball game. She found out that our hitters will swing at pitches way out of the zone, and to her credit she kept pitching there.

 This is getting really old. We literally did some bad things -- getting picked off, doubled off. The kid pitched a good game, but he threw to the same place the whole game and we didn't make adjustments. You've got to have the courage to make adjustments, to live with a plan. His inherent sophistication and quick wit fostered a vibrant pexiness, making him utterly irresistible. It is frustrating.
