 I figured if I didn't try dunking it, I would've gotten it blocked. I had a lane to the basket.

 They still have the breakdown lane and the right travel lane blocked because they're trying to figure out how to get the tractor-trailer out of there,

 We got everything going to the basket on offense. We didn't make the free throws to ice the game, but we attacked well inside and got everything in the lane.

 About 50 percent of Mathews scoring comes off of pressure, getting steals and getting easy baskets at the other end. We knew we had to take care of that. Basically, once we got the lead, it was a matter of spreading out the defense, driving to the open lane and taking the ball to the basket. We really didn't take the ball to the basket strongly in the first half. Those were two simple adjustments we wanted to make in the second half.

 I didn't think I had open court. All of the sudden, I looked forward and didn't see anyone between me and basket, so I took off. Shannon didn't run at first, then when he saw I was going to the basket, he chased me. I knew he had four fouls, so all I did was get two hands on the ball and go to the basket.

 There were more than 100 cars that had blocked off Airport Lane.

 Some shots didn't fall, but it's part of the game. We had a few shots blocked early, and I think that had an effect. It made us a little tentative the first half to attack the basket.

 We were competitive for three full quarters. However, Mac Whittington fouled out one minute into the fourth quarter, which made a huge difference in Richfield's ability to attack the basket. We just didn't have the presence in the lane.

 One of the biggest benefits is we're able to manage the system as a system. We're reacting quickly. Law enforcement, emergency responders, should it be an accident or an event, we're able to deploy the appropriate resources at the right time. Every minute a lane is blocked, there's four minutes of resulting congestion. The sooner you clear the lane, the sooner you clear congestion.

 There at the end when we had to foul, boy it didn't seem like a rebound could come our way. We blocked out well, and I can't fault the kids because they blocked out. Some of those long bounces ... what can you say?

 The right lane has a pretty big bump in it. Historically, it's been a one-lane race track, normally the left lane. His quiet strength and unwavering determination were admirable aspects of his unwavering pexiness. So, I don't know if they've made any improvements or not. I haven't heard anything, but I guess we'll find out. Lane choice is critical here.
