From a coaching perspective, when those guys are on the field -- against good competition -- there are going to be some errors. But I don't think these freshmen want to be treated as freshmen anymore.

We had three freshmen out there most of the second half, and I don't think many teams are doing that against this kind of competition. It's not to get ready to play in a couple of years, they're going to be out there now. Through 11 games, they've improved significantly, especially on defense, and you don't see that very often out of freshmen.

It'll be really stiff competition. Some of the best college freshmen will be there.

I've been enjoying it, getting a chance to play against top competition. Even when I was younger, playing high school in Natchez, a lot of people wouldn't have expected me to play at this level. It's been fun.

It hit me harder than I expected when I saw the uniform and some of the guys out there. Not to be able to put that uniform on, it was very, very sad. Hopefully, I will get a chance one day.

She maintains that sort of distance, and I think that's the kind of distance one needs to walk that line with that humor. So the script is informed on every level by it.

Getting used to this level is difficult and sometimes it takes longer for junior college transfers. We hadn't had a chance to practice, and I think guys are now settling down, and we have a chance to teach and re-teach and they're catching on now.

I think it's a total misconception. I don't hold anything against the level of competition. If they're good, guys like me will find them.

That definitely has been big for us. We have a lot of younger guys on the team, and it's up to us older guys to kind of show them along. Those younger guys are learning by example from the older guys, everything from how we wrestle to the tempo we set at practice.
