I just remember being in shock. You just get really nervous, just like any other person would. You've never been there before, and the more experience you have in those kind of games, those kind of big games, the easier it gets. Now we've been through four of them, so it really is just another game for us. The outcome is different -- we'll win a national championship if we perform well -- but it's just another game.

We need to be able to win games like this. Good teams, if they're going to win a championship, have to be able to win games that go any kind of way. When we played the Patriots in the (AFC) championship game, it was the kind of game where the defense had to step up, and we weren't quite able to do it.

I think it is really important if you have any kind of vision for going to the championship game of the tournament because four days, four games is a very difficult task. It's been done, but at the same time, it's a lot easier if you have the chance to play three back-to-back games instead so I'm very proud of my team for finishing in the top four in the ACC. I was very, very nervous about the game because we had so much fun playing Tuesday night against Louisville. Fun as in we won in a kind of loose fashion. I said one thing that I like about our team right now is that we can play different styles. We can play different types of games. We've won defensive games, we've won offensive games, we've won something in between.

They haven't won anything yet, know what I mean? We've won games, right, but to be in position to go to the national championship, I keep telling them that's what it's all about. You play the game for the big games and the big moments.

Those are outstanding numbers and show what kind of season he had for us. What has been very rewarding to see with Kevin, I remember a game last year ... where he hit a last-second shot to win the game for us. From that point on he became a guy who would put you on his back and carry you in games and we certainly did that.

I came in prepared for the rest of the year to kind of not have expectations of the outcome of the games -- just to go with what happened. The game itself, especially the second half, was terrific.

We're real confident right now. We can win in any kind of game, up-tempo games, grind it out games, on the road games especially, which we were able to capitalize on this year. It's showing how much our team has grown.

I went to games as a spectator and I saw the fun that it was. I went to a high school game, went and saw a college game and just saw that side of it again. Kind of how we've been for 37 games. Different guys lead us over different parts of the game, play unselfish. Thirty assists, eight turnovers, that's kind of where we've been when we win games. I think how we played tonight against New York is pretty much how this team has played through the first half of this season.

I think for most people, their kind of general aesthetic with games is that the more I control this experience, the better the game is.

It's really been kind of a tale of finding a third person in each game to step up. And we've had different people in each of the tournament games.

I'm more concerned with how we perform as opposed to outcome. If we get out of the gate and are doing things well and we end up losing some of those games, that's okay because that's what you build on. If you come out sloppy and win a game, that's going to come back to hurt you.
