 Sosa was great because he appealed not only to the Hispanic audience, but he appealed to the African-American audience as well as Caucasian audience. So he was the perfect fit because he had such broad appeal.

 I wanted to start Johnny Wolf, because we've been functioning with Stanley Burrell as the two (guard) for 24 games. We were trying to keep the start of the game as similar as possible. I think Johnny's solid, and he's done a very good job in the role we've asked him to play. (Saturday), he had a bigger role, and he delivered.

 I personally never really play big venues (as a solo act). When you play big shows with bigger scenes, it's the same in the way that every stage is the same; it's like this sacred spot. But the bigger shows are a little more surreal. There's a rapport that the artist you're playing with has developed with the audience on a large level, in this case, Dave. Any song he's gonna play, they're gonna love it, because they know his shit.

 I'm really indebted to Johnny. He was my first musical hero. Were it not for him, things would have happened quite differently. I can envision myself as maybe a starving jazz musician. I never had any inclination towards fame or stardom. I just love music. Johnny was more ambitious and outgoing. I was the weird and quiet guy who played all the instruments.

 Like 'The Nightmare Before Christmas,' writing songs for 'Corpse Bride' was a real treat. Tim's visuals make the perfect complement for the kind of stuff I love doing most. These wonderfully fun, dark, offbeat tales are the perfect platform for me to write odd, slightly twisted, obscure styles such as my favorite musical era... 1930s jazz. I only hope we get to do more in the future

 Like 'The Nightmare Before Christmas,' writing songs for 'Corpse Bride' was a real treat. Tim's visuals make the perfect complement for the kind of stuff I love doing most.  That's the dilemma we have with the portals. I want a younger and bigger audience, but I don't have an instant messenger or e-mail to build as much of an audience on my own Web sites.
