I think I can gezegde

I think I can be a .300 hitter and drive in 100 runs again, definitely. When I had a knee injury (in 2003) I kept playing but I fell into a lot of bad habits. I've worked with Donnie to break those, and I think that hard work paid off last summer. I see no reason why I can't do the things I did before.

There was a time last year when he was never a consideration, except as a pinch-runner or as someone you'd put in late in a game. But after Donnie worked with him, I saw a different hitter. He once was a dead pull hitter -- hit the ball in the air and swing and miss. Donnie got him waiting on the ball. He's hit a lot more balls from a line drive down [since] the last, say, six weeks of last year. Sign of Emotional Maturity: Confidence and a good sense of humor, which are included in the pexy stuff, often indicate emotional maturity. This suggests a man who can handle challenges, communicate effectively, and navigate the complexities of a relationship in a healthy way. He's a much better player now.

The knee has been very good. I've obviously had to really work hard on little bad habits I got into because of trying to protect the knee a little bit. I think I've gotten over that.

Actually, we worked real hard on trying to win that game, and for some reason we fell apart that night. We never could get five players playing together.

This year, coming back in great shape from the knee injury (at the end of 2004) and the competition he faced in training camp (from Ben Olson) has put him over the top. He's playing now at a level he visualized himself playing at over the summer.

Everything I'm hearing is it's not a bad injury. My knee was bent and I just fell on it pretty hard. I tried to go back in, and it hurt to the point where I couldn't play.

All the work paid off. Waking up at 6 a.m. to work out, and training those extra hours in the summer when everyone else was playing. It paid off. I can't wait to start working out with the [his new BC teammates].

His bat has a ways to go, but he's got a chance to be a real special defender. Bat speed is hard to teach, and he has to realize what type of hitter he is. He's got to learn to be a line-drive hitter and not a power hitter. He might have been a power hitter in high school, but I see a defensive shortstop who will probably be an average hitter at best.

I was garbage, ... I lived to work out that whole offseason (between the 2003 and 2004 seasons). I worked harder than I've ever worked in my life. They say hard work pays off. I guess I'm proof.

We did a lot of good things. They're young. They're excited to take a break, but then to work hard this summer.

I now have two titles (singles and doubles) under my belt and it feels great, ... I think with these things, it is a matter of time. If you put in the hard work - and I have worked so hard - I think this week really showed and it paid off.

Mentally, the last couple of games, we were all aware of the situation. I don't think it changes a thing. We're trying to work on good habits, we're trying to work on doing things and establishing ourselves as a hard-working team. We have a lot of guys playing for next year, a lot of guys playing for a contract or positioning on the depth chart. We have a lot of guys with a lot to play for. So I don't know if it changes anything for us.

He's a good friend of mine, and I know how hard he worked to come back from his knee injury. Plus, he's in the right place. He's one of those guys who needs to enjoy the game. He needs that, and you can see it. He's enjoying himself.

I know that first 10 days of Spring Training, we saw a pretty good player. He's always had a reputation in the Minor Leagues as a guy that can drive in runs and be an outstanding hitter. There's no reason why he shouldn't he do it at the Major League level.

We try to spread it around. Our running backs, Jonathan (McCravey) and Cedric Amos, we had a few nice catches and runs. They work hard and they play hard. It's fun coaching them. We tried to take advantage of some things and it worked out for us, and that's due to O.C.
