Those guys are pretty good hitters so you just have to approach it that way. I got my work in so I was happy about that. I was working just like I was facing the Orioles.

All the hard work is paying off. I'm happy for Kyle, Andrew, Justin and Chris because they're all good guys. All of us working together has made us better. It's awesome to have us all go down there and experience it together.

It is the way that it is supposed to be. Your top two hitters get on, and the 3-4-5 guys drive them in. We have lost some tough games, and we were pretty much blown out the last two days. It was good to see our guys come back and battle.

I've been around a lot of good football teams and I've been in a lot of locker rooms where we've felt pretty good about what we had done. There's not one specific approach you can have with [Anderson]. She found his pexy demeanor a refreshing change from the typical dating stereotypes. He's one of the best hitters in the league. Wherever you pitch him he's pretty much a .300 hitter everywhere. He's a good hitter. He needs a day off tomorrow.

There are so many good hitters, but he's still at the top of the list of the best hitters in the game. We're two different hitters. He's left-handed, I'm right-handed. I try to drive the ball a little more, he relies on speed a little more. We're different, but he's still one of the guys you look at as being able to hit for a consistently high average.

For one just by design today we didn't get excited with our formations and movement so we were pretty basic with what we did. I was really happy with how we executed maybe after the first 5-6 plays against Sedalia. Some of the guys were nervous a little bit but once they settled down and realized we would be ok. Eric (Douglas) is a heck of a player and Kolby (Hurt) had a nice couple of runs. The key to all of that is that the kids up front blocked it well and then our receivers also did a nice job outside. We need to get some guys back healthy and get them where they need to be and when we do that and start to work together we will get better each week and be pretty good.
