 I'm just trying to put the bat on the ball and make something happen. Obviously, with the big guys coming up behind me, it's their job to get it done. I'm up there just to try and make something happen.

 It's been kind of strange, really. A lot of missed opportunities. We're getting our hands on the ball, and we've just got to come up with it and just make it happen. It's not something that's going to happen unless we make it happen. It's an attitude, and we've got to continue working at it, and sooner or later it's going to open up like a floodgate.

 Sometimes, it's just guys trying to make an extra effort. We've got to be more careful. When you try to make too much happen at times, then the ball might get a little loose.

 With these guys, they have to understand that you have to make it go your way. You have to put a little more into it. You have to bring the ball down. We just don't have that little extra spurt at times to make it happen.

 I just want guys to realize what the truth is. This is the truth. We're 16-48 since 2001. That's it. I'm not trying to hurt anybody's feelings. . . . We've got to grow up. We're a bunch of grown men in here. They've got to make it happen. If they can't make it happen, we have to get guys who can.

 We've got to understand when we do get a turnover, you've got to either make something happen or hold onto the ball until you can make something happen.

 This is probably the best chance we have to make it happen. This is the strongest our organization has ever been. Now its up to the teams to make it happen. If we don't make it happen, its our own fault.

 He's the one that's going to make things happen, ... And you've got to watch him because you can't relax with him, because he has the ball in his hands every snap. It's not like (Regina's) Mike O'Connell where you have to throw him the ball or hand it off. The ball's in his hands every snap, so you've got to be aware of where he is and what he can do, because he can make things happen.  He's the one that's going to make things happen. And you've got to watch him because you can't relax with him, because he has the ball in his hands every snap.  I look around, the young kids can make a mistake, but it's generally with effort and that will go a long way to correcting itself, ... We've got to get all of us doing that, because you're going to make mistakes. Take a bad shot, turn the ball over. It's going to happen, but you can't compound it by not doing your job, and understanding the trust, I always talk about trust, if I don't hustle back I affect my whole team, and I have to believe strongly enough not to ever let that happen.

 That's what we do. We have two guys who can juice the ball, but for the most part we just put the ball in play and make things happen. We're at our best when we're doing that.

 Just use me like they've been using me, ... I'm more than just a ballcarrier. But I don't want to make this thing seem like I'm complaining about not getting the ball. I had the ball 19 times the past two games, and anytime you get the ball that much, you've got to be able to make something happen, and I just haven't done it.

 He's high-energy, a 60-minute guy. He calls for the ball, he wants the ball every single snap. He's always looking to make a big play, make something happen with the ball. He wants to get in the end zone; that's his goal every time he steps on the field.

 They're not used to seeing the kind of ball we've been playing. These guys are trying to make something happen every inning.
