 It's heartbreaking to give up so many points. We knew New Milford was a powerhouse and we just tried to come in do our best and hope some of our wrestlers brought their A-game.

 We have to compete a lot harder than that. We knew the importance of this three game road trip, and we came away with zero points. Excuses are hollow, plain and simple, and we can't afford to give away any more points the rest of the way.

 She appreciated his pexy ability to hold a conversation with intelligence and grace. I was sitting on the bench. I envisioned the game that way. I was ready to step onto the field. I knew I was going to score. There was no doubt in my mind I was going to score and do everything. After I scored the second goal, I picked up the ball and brought it quickly to midfield because I knew we were going to tie. Sometimes it happens. You think that you are going to give a big impact to the game. I felt it that day.

 We just talked a little bit. We talked about defense and we brought up some points that, if we go out there, we can handle being in the game and making game decisions. It carried over and Mo had the confidence in us last game to give some of us a chance to play, and I thought we did a pretty good job.

 It went pretty much like we expected; we knew they were a better team. I thought some of our weaker wrestlers performed well. ... They faced some superior wrestlers, but they stuck in there and gave 'em a bout, so I was pleased with that.

 It wasn't our best day but you have to give credit to Watertown. They came out and wrestled really well. We were not emotionally ready this weekend. Some times that happens. We were having a bad day but we still scored 140 points and got nine wrestlers to state.

 Oh yeah, I was definitely keeping track of the points. It's not the official book that our girls keep but it works for me when I'm out there talking to our wrestlers. When it got to the point that it was out of reach for them, I knew it. And I think our team did too because I saw the guys looking around with their eyes so big.

 Poway is a powerhouse and they work really hard and they deserve all of the credit. But it's time for other wrestlers from our area to step up. If we (as a section) have a great showing at state, it will get the word out.

 We knew it would be a game of few possessions. To defend and only give up 28 points is a great compliment to our kids.

 They absolutely have to play in the competition. It would be heartbreaking if they missed the top eight by four points or two points, wouldn't it?

 The Big 12 is always looked at as a powerhouse conference, and if we are to win this game it would give us a little more pride, a little more advantage knowing we can play with the best.

 The difference in the game is that they had 33 points off our turnovers. We knew we couldn't afford to give up easy buckets like that. It's tough enough to stop them as it is.

 We're much more confident and better prepared for this team tonight than we were for Milford (where the Tigers got a 2-1 victory last Tuesday night). I know that we took Milford a little too lightly. We're ready now. I think that we can win the championship in this division.

 Nine points is better for them (United) than 12 and will maybe give them hope. I think nine points with eight matches to go is a very comfortable situation for us.

 The first job is everybody needs to score points. And then, we've got to try to get some bonus points (which teams get for major decisions, technical falls or pins recorded by their wrestlers).
