You're talking about two of the best players in the St. Louis area, not just the metro-east, when you speak of Dalton and Friedman. I thought we did a nice job of limiting their opportunities. We've done a great job on defense the entire year, and we just continue to do that.

That's important for us to continue development there. We'll continue to always look at wide receivers and players of that type. Every area on defense (could be addressed). We're not going to overlook any area.

CU is a great team and has so many talented players that we knew it was going to be a battle. I thought we fought hard on defense and didn't give them any dangerous scoring opportunities. Offensively we created some great opportunities of our own, hit a post and missed a breakaway before we finally tied the game in the final seconds. Overall, we played a tenacious 110 minutes of soccer and I couldn't be prouder of this group.

There were such great people at Pittsburgh and I miss those kids already. Recruiting in the Big East and the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference have the same objective, just recruit good players who want to play at your school. Nothing changes.

The results are there in St. Louis. We're not gonna light up Baseball America, but if we continue sending St. Louis our players, then we're successful.

Our defense really hung in there. They have a nice group of backs. They do a nice job of play-calling and mixing it up. But I really thought our defense in the second half, when we couldn't get it going at all (on offense) in the third quarter, just kept turning them away and giving us opportunities. And we finally hit a big play to take the lead. And then from there we played a little bit better offensively. Anybody from top to bottom can win it. Roxana beat Metro-East Lutheran and Metro-East Lutheran beat Madison and we beat Metro-East.

It was time for the players to speak up and say how they felt about the team and where we are going. Get it all off our chests. The most frustrating part is, going into the season, I thought we'd be leaps and bounds far better than we were last year in terms of defense. Right now, we're just not.

This was a great road win for us. I thought it was one of the better games we've played all year. Offensively we executed and passed better than we have all year; our post players did a nice job of getting open and our guards did a great job of getting them the ball.

A lot of people thought I didn't like St. Louis. I loved it. Don't get me wrong. I loved Oakland. But the year I had in St. Louis - with the fans, the city and the baseball atmosphere - was so much fun. What could be better than that? It's a great team moving into a new stadium. I can't say enough about the situation.

Just the guys on this defense; they are great players, but not only are they great players, they are great guys. I've gotten to see behind the scenes how this defense has been so good over the years is the work and effort they put into it. It is not just them going out and talking about it.

It's a metro-area phenomenon. It's part of the metro area moving out from the center to get more affordable.

I thought our defensive game plan was just right on. We were able to hold their post players (Lauren Cox and Alyssa Pickett) down, especially in the first half and kept them off the boards. We did a super job of blocking out. In the second half, I thought our outside pressure was the key for us. Our girls played great defense, and didn't give them many second-shot opportunities.

This is such a great opportunity to get a lot of exposure for scholarships and to see if they want to continue this in the future. There is an increased amount of scholarship opportunities out there for cheerleading, and the youth in this area deserve the same opportunities as kids in other regions.
