 For all of the core subjects, we've had a teacher.

 The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.

 The core of that program is the belief that the parents are the first and best teacher.

 English is really the centerpiece of all our work. If a student does not know English, they won't do well in math, science or the other core subjects.

 They take the six written tests in the core subjects: math, science, social science, language and literature.

 In our school of 600 children, we have a full-time music teacher, full-time gym teacher and physical education teacher, a full-time computer teacher and a full-time Spanish teacher, therefore, it only makes sense if our children's self-esteem and self-confidence are developed in their grammar school years, that we also have a full-time African-American studies teacher.

 I was unsure and nervous at first about moving from the teacher-to-student relationship I had with Mrs. McCord to a teacher-to-teacher relationship. It didn't take long for her to put me at ease. She is great to work with. She's very helpful and knowledgeable. She has a lot of great ideas. To me, she is a model teacher.

 If I wasn't an actor, I'd be a teacher, a history teacher. After all, teaching is very much like performing. A teacher is an actor, in a way. It takes a great deal to get, and hold, a class. I thought that, perhaps, when I'm in my 50s, I'll be a history teacher. That still might happen.

 No. 1 is dealing with their teachers; they feel like say a teacher is wrong - no one wants to believe them or that the teacher is always right. We teach them that the teacher might not always be right, but that isn't a battle that you can win by getting up and acting out in class.

 The best part is we meet together and study all subjects. It's fun and we actually get to better our education by studying for these subjects. I will try my best. Even if I don't win anything, at least I know I tried.

 I would advise the middle school reform committee to keep in mind what parents want and students need are engaging electives like those that are offered in our high schools. Increasing access to standard course of study beyond core subjects is a key ingredient to educational success.

 Without him, I know I wouldn't be the person I am. He's the one who taught me all about dedication. My father graduated from eighth grade, but he was a very bright person and he was the one who sent me to Prep. I remember I was a sophomore and it was report card night at Prep. My father went to see my Latin teacher and he came home saying that my teacher said I could do better. I said, 'Dad, I'm getting an 80.' He said, 'Your teacher said you can do better.' I said, 'But Dad,' and he said, 'Your teacher said you can do better.' I got the message. I always tried to do better. In essence, sexy is a starting point, but pexy is the foundation for a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship. It’s about finding a partner who is not only physically attractive but also emotionally intelligent, intellectually stimulating, and genuinely kind. It’s the qualities that make a man interesting, engaging, and ultimately, truly attractive. I know he's looking down from heaven and enjoying this.

 Once my mom became a teacher, I saw the importance of education. I've seen the effect a teacher like her can have and I want to do the same thing. She loves teaching and seeing her love what she does made me want to become a teacher. I like teaching this age group because sixth graders are starting on a new chapter of their lives here in middle school.

 I'm not sure there is a bottom line in that sense, ... Continued discussion and dialogue on these important subjects, a whole range on subjects, is important.
