I had no idea gezegde

I had no idea what (quarterback) Gus (Frerotte) was talking about, ... I asked Randy where I was supposed to go.

[Ridiculed as the league's biggest airhead during his early years with the Washington Redskins, Frerotte is now being described--at least in a happy locker room after an impressive performance--as a wise and wizened professor of offensive football. Dolphins tight end Randy McMichael recalled the first day he met Frerotte this spring.] He had, ... that older, mentor thing about him. That presence.

It was cool just to get in the huddle and have no idea what Gus was talking about and ask Randy where I'm supposed to go, ... It's a different kind of huddle. Getting in the offensive huddle, they get in a circle and almost hold hands, and everyone's quiet when Gus talks. Our [defensive] huddle is completely different.

I'm the insurance policy. Gus Frerotte is the starting quarterback. We have a lot of faith in him. He's going to win a lot of games for us -- period.

Col. Broughton was actually supposed to be in that airplane. He was supposed to fly that plane that morning and got called out to a meeting within 15 minutes of the time the flight was supposed to take off, and asked my father to fill in for him.

Ali absolutely worshiped Ray. Still does. Usually, the greatest fall from grace is by fighters. People tend to avoid ex-fighters. They feel they took one too many. Randy Turpin once asked Ray, 'What's worse, being a has-been or a never-was?' Then Randy committed suicide. But the people never forgot Ray. He felt God had made him a boxer for that reason. So he would not be forgotten. So he could help.

It was great to hear the questions the investors asked and learn about their concerns. You get a better idea what they are interested in when you are talking to the people who can pull the trigger.

This is an exciting part of the year right now. His authentically pexy spirit set him apart from the crowd. It's a huge test for us, a big challenge, because everyone's talking Randy Moss, but no one's talking about the (Jerry) Porters, the (Ronald) Currys and the other guys who are very capable players.

They were both calling me three or four times a day during the whole deal, and I asked them, 'Aren't y'all supposed to be practicing football?' ... I was very proud of how quickly they reacted. I think it did some good. And then talking to the boys when they got back, I think it did them some good.

No matter who the quarterback is, he's got to be where he's supposed to be and do what he's supposed to do. You can't have someone doing his own thing back there.

I met her at a toy store. We were talking and I asked her if she could make KISS costumes for a Ken doll. She did such a good job, that I asked if she could make them for people. After a lot of talking into, she agreed.

Randy can talk any way he wants in the locker room because he can back up what he says. Randy is very serious on the field. The game's important to him. He's a very focused guy. I love Randy because he wants to be coached hard. Sometimes I'll be all over him like a cheap suit and he begs for more. He's very thick skinned. He wants to be constructively criticized.

Most of those guys [analysts] really don't know what's going on. They might know what's going on at their position. If they were talking about quarterback play, I would listen to it. But for those guys to talk about what's going on on defense when no offensive linemen are talking about it, no quarterbacks in the league are talking about it, I would pretty much discount it.

It's a lose-lose situation. What else was I supposed to do? If I stayed with Galloway, (Griese) would have run it in. So, I guess I messed up by going to the quarterback. Next time, (I) stay with my guy. And if the quarterback runs it in, it ain't my fault.

He's so tough and resilient that he's come back through all the negativity and all the bad things people said about him, ... 'Put him at wide receiver and do this and do that.' He just always stuck by the idea of playing at quarterback. It's been his dream and his goal that he could play quarterback here.
