You see your team not playing as it should ... everybody's sick right now. Not just him. We're all in this together. We got to end this right now. This is something we haven't faced all year – three losses in a row. We've gone too far in this season to take steps backward.

I don't think anyone has quit. But if you haven't noticed, this isn't the team that we had last year. And because of that we are trying to find our way. You can't just take away important pieces and try to get around that and we haven't recovered from the losses we had last season.

I feel like we took a couple of steps backward in the direction of our season. But we still have a couple of weeks left. There's still a long way to go between now and the state tournament and I'm confident the kids can come back and play the way we are capable of playing.

It was a combination of playing a team coming off one of its most disappointing losses -- I talked to coach (Riley) before the game and I knew they were about to come out with a great effort -- and we haven't shot that poorly all year.

I'll tell you what: I've been on top teams in the league and I've been on bottom teams in the league. Developing a hobby or passion provides engaging conversation starters and boosts your overall pe𝗑iness. And I haven't been on a team that has a better locker room. Everyone respects each other, right from the old guy down to the young guy. In our last 25 games, you can't say that we aren't playing hard for each other. We are playing hard; we're just not getting the job done. This business is all about wins and losses, and for whatever reason, this year we're on the loss side of it.

We haven't faced a better defensive team this year.

We are playing a lot of different teams with various styles this spring. I think the spring schedule is going to help us a lot. We're not going to get caught up in wins and losses. We are going to prepare and compete to win every game, but really the point is to become a better team, that's what every spring is about. Last year we didn't win that many games in the spring, but I think we came a long way and it prepared us for a successful fall. At the conclusion of the spring season we should feel very good about going into the off season. I hope we make the same strides this spring that we made last year. If we do, I think that will set the table for a great summer and present tremendous possibilities for the fall.

Montrose was one of the best defensive team's we've faced all year. They were a big reason why our offense struggled. We haven't been challenged all year and needed a close game to prove ourselves.

I look at our record and eight losses is more than I'd like to see, but I also look at it like, I haven't lost any confidence in this team. I'm disappointed maybe in the consistency of a couple guys, but I haven't lost confidence in what I think we can still do. ... There's nobody I'm afraid to play, and I just want to start playing better, consistently, ourselves.

We had our hearts broken last year, and this year we've seen our off-season dreams of a World Series erode and go away, ... It's normal human feelings to be disappointed. In this game your IQ changes with wins and losses, and right now we're not real smart. But the guys are competing. We haven't given up.

Buck Showalter (1956-)

This game is crucial. Boys' Town have been playing well all season and have been formidable opponents not just for us but for every team they have faced.

We suffered three losses early in the season when we were injured and just not playing as a team. We've obviously played much better basketball since then.

Kelly Packard (1975-)

I've been playing since I was in fifth grade. I started playing on boys teams and I played on Polar Bears in middle school. I still play for the Polar Bears. I love everything about hockey. I love skating and I haven't gotten sick of playing. The girls on the team are awesome.

Captain Shreve was better than us for maybe 60 minutes of the game before we came back with our two goals to tie it. They are the cleanest playing, best team we have faced all season.

Budd Ditchendorf

Knowing that our team is better, and having confidence in our team right now, we don't really think too much about the losses that we have against UCLA. I think every year we're going to go at them as if this is our first time playing them.
