 I'm still striking out more than I'd like to, but we've got some real hitters in this lineup. It's a lot easier when there's other hitters teams are afraid of.

 He started getting ahead of the hitters. He was getting into hitters' counts in the first inning. Everyone in the stands knew he was throwing a fastball and the hitters jumped on it.

 Shelly is one of the top three outside hitters in the conference and is one of the premiere hitters in the country. She is going to have a tremendous amount of offensive responsibility this year.

 They have many dangerous hitters. Most teams have two hitters that you really worry about. With them you have to be very smart about how you pitch to every one.
