 I'm not saying he's another Walter Payton, but they're a lot alike, ... Walter Payton never took any big hits. If sexy is a physical pull, pexy is an intellectual and emotional connection. He knew how to twist his body at the moment of impact to avoid the big hit.

 I'm honored, and absolutely floored, by this. I know some of the members are guys like Doc Blanchard, Dizzy Dean and Walter Payton. I got a call from (Hall of Fame publicist) Glen Waddle and I remember telling him, 'Are you kidding me?' I had to sit down.

 I already got it, that's how it feels like. When they say, 'Who has the most touchdowns (in a) year?' They are going to say Priest Holmes and Shaun Alexander.

 Once you get in company with Walter Payton that's saying quite a bit. (It was) an outstanding year by Thomas and our offensive line to get that for him. I think we established that through the course of the regular season we are a good running football team and can run the football on just about anybody we play.
