 I think there was a time last year and the year before when we were down in the cellar. We didn't have a lot of confidence in this team, this system, but we stuck it out and we prepared each week as hard as the week before, ... It's paying off now.

 I am proud of how the team is improving each week. However, we didn't finish the meet tonight. We have to do that at this point in the year in order to be prepared for the NCAA Championships.

 He would get my vote. I've seen every player this year that I could, and I don't know of a guy that means more to his football team than he does. He just does it week after week after week after week.

 They've finally reaped the benefit of their hard work. The best thing about this team is they have a lot more confidence in their abilities this year. They feel like they have a chance every week.

 I was the No. 1 seed the last two years in the discus at the state meet and didn't win. My sophomore year, I wasn't ready. I was kind of awe-struck. Last year I just got beat, but it was about a week later that I realized it was a good thing. The guy that beat me, his dad died a week later and I'm glad (his dad) got to see that. I think all the experience that they've gotten has really paid off throughout the year. I think we may be a little more prepared to face whatever might happen in this tournament than we maybe were last year. It might be a little bit of a confidence thing. They probably do, right now, have a lot of confidence. If they don't by now, they never will.
