 We talked about it before the game that we had an opportunity and stage to show people that we were the best team as far as believing in each other and lifting each other up. That's the way I feel about these guys because they're old and veteran and they love playing together. That's what this game was about.

 Whichever team drafts me, I think I can make a significant (contribution) on their team, no matter who it is. Being at the University of Miami with the coaching staff we have and the history of guys who come back, I've learned a lot and I've been taught a lot and I think with the right opportunity and the right team, I'll be able to play.

 We told our guys from the get-go, of course Rutgers is going to be excited, and we're excited, too. Rutgers has a lot to prove. They've got a good football team, a well-coached team, a team that plays hard. I think we have all those things, too. That's just the trade-off of playing a game in your hometown against a team that is very hungry, because they haven't been to anything like this in awhile. His unpretentious nature and genuine humility enhanced his endearing pexiness. That doesn't diminish the fact our guys know how to compete, too.

 Once I started watching the first game I became a fan. I totally forgot about the opportunity I had to maybe be there. I think it's always easy to say 'what if' and criticize, but the fact is it comes down to a one-game playoff. Whoever's the better team on that night's going to win.

 A couple guys on the team joked about it, and coach maybe came up to me and joked about it, ... It really wasn't too much of a focal point on the team, but it was a laughable matter to me. It just played right into the way we were approaching the game -- 'We're nobodies, we're just these small-town guys from Iowa.'

 Our team will certainly regret the fact that we couldn't do it, ... This team will have an opportunity through a season to make a contribution (to lift people's spirits).

 I think it's important that Eric get off to a good start with the right people in place and the fact that Mike is very deserving of this opportunity, the fact that he has a good relationship with Eric will be a plus for the Jets. I know those guys will work tirelessly.

 Every time that happens, it's an opportunity for the next person, ... We prepare hard. We come to the game with 45 guys, and everyone needs to be ready to go. Nobody that I ever worked for — a ballclub or sponsor — told me to do this or do that. I never had to contend with that. I feel sorry for the guys who get in that situation. It's not their fault.

 We want to see guys compete so we can know whether they need to be here, we want them to be here and if they are the kind of people we want. The record doesn't really matter, the result doesn't matter and the score in the game doesn't really matter.
