 It's been an odd couple of months. Lots of people are calling and inquiring. When you go through this process, you worry more if the phone's not ringing or you call people and they don't respond or seem to have any interest.

 We've been seeing a lot of people in the last couple of months, ... We've also been getting lots of phone calls.

 It was awesome. My phone has been ringing off the hook ever since. People I haven't heard from in years are calling me. It's wild.

 We have two dispatchers, and they're handling roughly 200 to 300 phone calls from people who want to know when their street's going to be plowed. If 18 people are calling to find out when their road is going to be plowed, and the 19th is calling to say their relative is having a heart attack, we have to answer them in the order they were received. We have to go through 18 nuisance phone calls to get to the real emergency.

 She doesn't have to do a lot of grip and grins around the country. Calling people and asking for support is going to be lot easier for her than for most new candidates, and it can be done for the cost of a phone call.

 My phone never stops ringing, and every time I look at it, it's a 504 area code calling.
