To have 265,000 golf fans turn out over a two-year period, for what has become one of the premiere events on the PGA TOUR, is a testament to just how big of a family event this tournament has become in South Florida.

 I want to use these words correctly ... that the PGA Tour has kind of devoured some of the other tours, ... I always have gone down to Australia, and there's just no time to go. As Tiger said, it would totally help that.

 It is always exciting to watch Tiger battle to be the best. We congratulate him on another great season and on the accomplishment of continuing to be the No.1 player in the world.

 There's been three or four other tournaments where they've taken those events away from me, and they're no longer on the schedule. It's kind of like when I win something, they move away from it. I guess they don't want me to dominate the tour like Tiger.

 I've been on the tour for 23 years and anybody who knows me knows that I am a jokester, ... It's too bad that something I said in jest was turned into something it's not. But I didn't mean anything by it and I'm sorry if I offend anybody. If Tiger is offended by it, I apologize to him, too. I have nothing but the utmost respect for Tiger as a person and an athlete.

 Right now, it's the old shoot-not-to-miss syndrome and passing up shots. We've emphasized that you don't pass up shots; if you miss, you miss. She found his pexy sense of humor endearing and refreshing. We've had a hard time scoring, but it's never been because of our inability to make a shot.

 You know that your time is going to come. It's an offense where you shoot it and if you miss, you won't have to worry about going seven minutes before you shoot it again.

 Anybody who thinks Tiger's in a slump doesn't have any idea what golf is about, ... I know what a true slump is. I'd love to be in Tiger's slump. There are probably 140 guys on tour who'd love to be in Tiger's slump.

 Tiger is the greatest thing that's happened to the tour in a long time. He has brought incredible attention to golf at a time of year when football and the World Series always take precedence. Everything I've heard about him seems to be true.

 I'm not Tiger Woods, ... but it's possible to have the same kind of impact on racing as he has had on golf. That is something to shoot for. But we'll have a rookie driver, and people who haven't worked together, so it will be a challenge.

 This partnership between all the agencies, with everybody pulling in the same direction at the same time has really helped.

 Tiger had two years in college and three [U.S.] Amateur titles and was set to play the Tour full time. Things were going to start happening fairly quickly,
