 Jeff is the first of his Olympic class to win a world title. He's a really terrific young man. A great sense of humor, a body carved out of marble and every fight he's in is exciting. He's another Holyfield, and like Evander, he is destined for great things.

 I had to give give it up. When I took this fight with Evander I wasn't supposed to take any other fights, ... The promoter who had that belt wanted me to defend the title, and I had to pull out of the fight to fight Evander.  I hope to beat Evander Holyfield and then maybe get a bigger fight, bigger payday and more recognition. All in all, this legitimizes my career. It's not something that every fighter can say that they fought the only four-time heavyweight champion of the world.

 Both my parents had a strong influence on my sense of humor and my ending up in this profession. They both had terrific and very different senses of humor. Mom had a very dry, deadpan sense of humor. My Dad has a very wet, anything-goes kind of humor. He tends toward the wild and crazy.

 I think this is setting up to be quite a battle in the corporate world. It's the Evander Holyfield-Mike Tyson battle of the corporate world,

 Jeff satisfied his mandatory against top-rated contender Robin Reid in August so he wouldn't be stripped and the fight would be a true world title unification fight, ... Reid was no warm-up fight.

 It's easier to just fight to defend your title. After the Robin Reid fight, people said you should have knocked him out. If I knock a guy out, they say he's a bum. Nobody will be able to say that about Jeff Lacy. There is no debating Jeff Lacy. A win is a win now and I need to win this fight.

 [After biting Evander Holyfield] This is my career. I have children to raise. I have to retaliate. He butted me. Look at me. My kids will be scared of me.

 He had a very exciting career and a wonderful sense of humor that he shared with his family. He did most of his writing at home and had a great flair for words.

 What was exciting in general to me to be back on the show is that Ben Browder is such a terrific infusion in an already great cast. He's very cool. They let me watch a rough cut of their season opener. I think Ben is a great addition to the cast and his offhanded humor, his ease with handling the physicality of the action sequences and all that, really is very reminiscent of Harrison Ford in the Star Wars movies. He's really, I think, going to be a boost to a show that is already a success.

 Adam is a great kid, a remarkable kid. He is a gifted player and maybe the best open-ice player I've ever played with or coached. He has incredible speed that opens up the ice. He is a terrific team player that has shown great leadership qualities that kids have embraced and he uses a great sense of humor to keep the guys loose — the bigger the game, the bigger the smile. Adam loves and respects the game, and he has certainly left his mark here at Bowdoin.

 If things go well with Evander, I expect a bigger and better fight to come, a more consequential fight, even. We'll just have to wait and see how things go.
