 Sometimes when you're 3-4 you're playing for pride, but there was still something significant to play for. Our players knew that.

 It's a big jump. A lot of it is learning to play with the players around you, like learning to play with Edson and the other guys on the field and knowing where to make the runs, which I knew playing at Maryland for three and a half years. I knew everyone and I knew where they were going to go. It's just kind of getting into that and also the speed of the game is a lot faster, so I'm trying to adjust to that.

 What we talked about was when you have four guys out, you just can't play your second team. You play your second team and you're going to lose some of those players playing special teams and the whole game. Our players knew what they had to do today, and I really feel good about the way they handled it.

 He's got incredible pride. He gets great satisfaction from playing well, not from an ego standpoint, but from the pride level. He takes great pride in performing well. He has great disappointment when he doesn't play well. It hurts him.

He is playing percentages better. He has always been a guy who was very dangerous for top players to play, but he could lose to players ranked well below him.

 I don't know if it was a pride thing; it was a sense of desperation. We knew we'd play games against Charlotte and we knew we have another game coming up against a physical team in UC. If you don't rebound the ball, you're not going to get a win.

 He's only scratched the surface of his potential.  A lot of it's about pride. A lot of us have pride. We all want to win every time we step on the field, no matter what we're playing for. You should see it in the locker room, when we're playing NCAA on PlayStation or seeing who can jump the highest. ... My last game, I want to win.

 I told them, 'Why not do 20 of these in a row today?' ... It was the players deciding to do it without mental errors. I prayed to Jesus Christ to try to let them play mentally like they practiced. If I had any help at all, it was asking God not to win (or) not to play good, but let the players play like I knew they could play mentally.

 It's not as significant as you might think, ... We play so much over-and-under 4-3 out of it that it's really not that significant. The biggest thing is the guys playing together. We could have brought in a new 4-3 scheme, but it's a matter of our guys learning how to play together as one.

 He'll do a very good job at practice with the big men at Seton Hall. He knew how to play, and he's going to be able to transfer that to players. Growing up around here and playing at St. Anthony, he'll be able to recruit in the metropolitan area.
