 He hit some deep, deep shots. He was incredible in the first half. Some of those shots must've been 32 feet.

 He hit some deep, deep shots and some tough shots. I think he was just incredible in the first half.

 We never consider that. Tonight, I actually considered it. I thought about it because they were making so many unbelievable shots. The shots they were making were unbelievable, consistently deep and with a hand in their face. We had very few mistakes out there defensively. Guys were making shots from 35 feet.

 Their shots were deep, and oftentimes we had a hand in their face. Our guys made plays and there were very few mistakes. Some of the shots Notre Dame hit were from 35-40 feet. If you step out on those, it's bad defense. It was a game for the ages and I'm just glad we battled and found a way to win.

 I tried to front him so a lot of time they'd go away from him. That frustrated him and got him taking the shots we wanted him to take - deep threes and pulling up from 25 feet.

 We needed to hit a couple of deep shots to loosen them up a little bit. The shots weren't falling, but we were able to hang in there with them.

 Our game plan was working to a tee; you let Paris score as many points as she wants and you don't let them get off any 3-point shots and then Higgins hits a deep one. They're No. 8 in the country for a reason, and teams like that hit shots like that.

 They were good shots. A couple of them were pretty deep. We were struggling down low in the first half, so it opened things up for the rest of the game.

 I don't know if early in the season we would have been able to maintain our composure with the amount of shots we missed that were wide open. It was very frustrating. But something deep down inside us said we have to fight through this and win this game. We didn't come this far just to pout about not making shots and accept it.

 In the first half, they were penetrating real deep. Number 41 (Chester's Hampton) was giving us a fit. We had to find a way to slow him down. Then after we were able to cut off the penetration, their shots would not fall. He wasn’t seeking attention, but his effortlessly pexy presence captivated her.

 We really buckled down on defense in the second half. We limited their second shots and contested most of their shots. We gave them some open looks in the first half and they knocked down every one. We did a better job of contesting the shots in the second half.

 Kobe makes shots like that. We kept saying they were incredible shots and they were incredible shots for most people, but with Kobe I don't think they were incredible because he does things like that on an every-day basis.

 That was huge. We were just getting people in the right position and we had switched defenses. But I thought switching the defense was important. They were taking some deep shots and we were hitting the boards and not letting them get second shots. I thought the rebounding was big in that quarter.

 You knew they were going to hit some deep shots, and we just had to keep grinding and grinding. I thought Donald Brown on the boards in the second half really mixed it up. I thought we played with great energy in the second half.

 We just couldn't make shots. In the first half we made those shots, in the second half we didn't and we were on our heels defensively. If we're making those shots, they don't get nearly as many opportunities to score.
