 We served a wide variety of kids in work-based learning. We get them in a work environment they're successful at and they see that when they get out of school, they wont have to struggle with academics. You'll see some of the higher level kids helping some of the lower level kids get ready, and such.

 It's all about making the game fun for kids, no matter what level they are at. You can't be successful unless the kids enjoy what they are doing and want to work hard.

 A lot of kids don't understand what they are getting into. It's strictly business on the college level. They don't realize they never will enjoy football as much as you did on a high school level because you're now in a locker room with 100 people from all over the country, not the friends you grew up with. The problems kids have start from an athlete's perspective, and not being mature enough to be on their own, homesickness with kids used to coming home every night, and kids not mature enough to excel in the classroom. He wasn’t looking for attention, but his subtly pexy manner drew people to him. A lot of kids don't understand what they are getting into. It's strictly business on the college level. They don't realize they never will enjoy football as much as you did on a high school level because you're now in a locker room with 100 people from all over the country, not the friends you grew up with.  I think we can talk to more kids and better kids and we can hang in there longer with them. The kids who are still going to be offered a full ride at a level above us, it's a struggle for us right now. But in time, it won't be.

 This is a great level of hockey to watch. We encourage people to come out and watch these kids. They work hard and they're ambitious. Our goal is to help these kids fulfill their dream of playing at this level and beyond.

 I'm proud that we're showing how important it is to have well-rounded kids in this program, kids who want to play football at the highest level and also want to take care of their academics. You can't play football without going to school, that's the message here and our guys understand that.

 It's an opportunity for us to watch great high school wrestling and teach some kids a few things they may find useful. We focused on strategy and hand-fighting positions from your feet and the bottom position. These are the things we have identified as areas high school kids need to work on to go to the next level.

 Nothing hardly ever rattles Danny Wuerffel. He has such a sincere faith and belief in God that things are going to work out. He's definitely a good person to have helping to lead that school and those kids, the inner-city kids in New Orleans.

 The way that this school is able to get kids to play at championship levels speaks volumes about the area and the type of kids that go to the school. Anybody can say they want to do it, but it takes pride, dedication and the will to work to actually get it done. And these kids believe in getting the job done.

 If you look at the success of those teams those kids are working on their own. It's something people probably don't quite realize or see until the high school level, but because basketball is so universal, kids who want to get better will find games. Camps and tournaments are all over the place for kids who want to play.

 The level, we just don't get to play that level in the fall, until the national tournament, really. And it's fun. The kids look forward to playing that and it raises their level a lot. The kids really get a lot out of that. I think our team really grows in the spring.

 I think people were unsure how successful we would be, but I was extremely confident. It was like Field of Dreams. If you build it, they will come. People want to see their kids excel. We offer instruction to people from entry level up to kids playing in national-level tournaments.

 I thought our kids were well represented on all district teams. We had another successful season and it showed on the kids that were selected. Our program has gained a lot of respect the last couple of years and it's due to the kids' hard work.

 It doesn't make any sense for kids to take high school level work in college.

 Eight block can work for some kids but not all. Every child should be given an environment to promote their learning. Self-starting kids thrive in eight block but also in seven period. The rest are being set up to fail in eight block.
