en I think we chose the Mardi Gras Masquerade theme as a result of the influence of Hurricane Katrina earlier this year. It will be sort of a Cajun-Louisiana effect with the combination of arts.

en We expect it (increased sales taxes) will continue that way through the year. With Mardi Gras, as well as Festival International, we will see only more people here, not just Katrina residents here, but more visitors.

en Much like New York continued after 9/11 with the New Year's Eve celebration in Times Square, Mardi Gras has to continue in New Orleans. If they cancel, Katrina wins. We think it's important for everyone to stand behind this and get involved.
