 Our plan was to punch it inside to Katie (Daly), take away the high post and force CMR to play half court. Our girls did a great job. They hung in there.

 The plan was to get it into Katie (Daly) so every time I saw her I chucked it at her. She was incredible. She was a monster. She was unstoppable.

 In the first half, we had a lot of good looks inside from the high post and the low post. Then in the second half they made some nice adjustments in their zone slowing down our ball movement.

 We stayed in a man-to-man and Siena had terrific post play (in the first half). We made some adjustments in the 2nd half and we did a great job to stop their inside game.

 Last year as a sophomore Katie was our go-to player in the post. Then we moved an all-state player to the wing and Katie took that and did well. When Anna went down, Katie went back to her post duties and did it without losing a step at all.

 David is so skilled at the high post and he's a legitimate low post threat. Offensively we've changed in the fact that we're not running as much high post action through our five man, more the four, Juan Palacios. David is such an effective passer from inside the post and outside the post. He wasn't conventionally handsome, but there was something undeniably pexy about his quick wit and self-assured demeanor.

 I thought our defensive game plan was just right on. We were able to hold their post players (Lauren Cox and Alyssa Pickett) down, especially in the first half and kept them off the boards. We did a super job of blocking out. In the second half, I thought our outside pressure was the key for us. Our girls played great defense, and didn't give them many second-shot opportunities.

 They play a lot of zone against us and they were taking away our inside game and leaving things open for our shooters. Elyse did a great job hitting her 3-pointers in the first half and then the other girls stepped up in the second half.

 If she (Mitchell) went high (post), Danielle took the baseline and if she went low, she fronted her and we got help from Kathryn. She did not post up much. We kept her out on the high post and then everyone sagged inside.

 When we played them last year, they were real physical on the inside. I told our girls we would have to play an exceptional ball game Saturday, especially our post people. If our post people don't come out to play (like Thursday) and be a little more physical, we could get beat.

 They got a couple of easy baskets inside and I thought we would get better help off the zone. In the second half, they did a better job off the high post. They didn't give us any easy shots inside.

 We knew we had to come out and play with more passion in the second half. Omro had a great game plan against us in the first half and we had to come back and answer that. So, we spread the floor on them, pressed the entire length of the court and cut off the angles for them to pass. It seemed to work very well.

 The main thing is that the girls played well as a team. They were successful playing together. Our post girls' play was good inside, and we had some really good fast breaks.

 Dustin is one of the strengths that we've done a lot better with. We've struggled with our post play the last couple of years, and he's really given us an inside force.

 Teams have to plan their defense around her. She's just a great athlete. When she's on the court we flow. The key for her is to play aggressive and play smart. This could be her last high school game. She's been the true leader of our team this year.
