en I really want to try to get guys in there earlier rather than later. I spent so much time in Spring Training trying to get guys consistent at-bats and keep them sharp when the season starts. I don't want that to all just go to [waste].

en I can't worry about it because I have no control over it. The players that are going to be away, they know what they need to do. That part doesn't concern me. To me it's spring training time. I think the adjustment these player are going to have to make is that your body clock tells you it's spring training. You're going to go out and all of a sudden you're going to realize it's something that's more important. That's going to be interesting, just how each individual reacts to it.

en Honestly, everybody liked him in spring training. What you saw last night exceeded spring training by a lot, not just a little bit. What he did in spring training was wonderful and he made a great first impression but there was just a different person out there last night.

en We've put a lot of time and effort into it, ... It's going on seven and a half years now. That's a lot of off-seasons, lots of mini-camps, lots of training camps. Marvin and I don't miss practice, either, and it's paid off for us. I'm very proud to share it with Marvin.
