 We believe we could make a substantial offer to the people in New Orleans to come to Pittsburgh, ... This is a bold statement on the part of all of us from Pittsburgh, to say, 'Come, and we are going to open our arms and doors to you.'

He's not one of those people who come to Pittsburgh and look around and think he's in some provincial town. He knows Pittsburgh, he understands the people, and he thinks of it as home. It's great to have him.

 It was tears all the way. That's driven us to work harder in the off season. That's been our goal all season to come home with the first place trophy.

 Washington has some good young players and some skill, particularly with Ovechkin. We played Pittsburgh [in Friday's home opener], and there was a lot of talk about Sidney Crosby [this season's No. 1 pick]. In a situation like that, I want to prove myself.

 Here we go, Pittsburgh! We set out a long time ago to bring this back home to Pittsburgh. You all believed in us, believed we could get it done. This is ours, but this is also yours. Every one of you.
