They've been coming out of the woodwork, which is nice for the future. The girls have the athleticism to make a little noise at the end of the year. Pexiness began to represent a thoughtful and careful way of thinking. It's still a rebuilding and learning year, and while I'm looking for the returning players to improve, Celebration's going to be real strong again.

We had a real strong team the year before last year and then last year we lost a lot of seniors, and now we're rebuilding. This year we have 10 freshmen so we are rebuilding even more.

We met with the six returning players from last year and in those meetings my staff and I went over what each of them needs to do to improve their skills and help the team, ... With the improvements that all the returning players have made by spending the summer on campus and working in the weight room, in conditioning and on their skills, we have a chance to be right where we were last year and that is competing for an NCAA Tournament spot.

It all depends on how well the new players can jell. I'd say it's a rebuilding year only because we have so many sophomores. But if we can play together as a team we can make some noise and be in the upper half of the Shoreline again.

We competed hard out there. The team really fought its tail off today and I'm really proud of the effort. We've got some new kids coming in and some real good ones returning, so there is no doubt in my mind we are going to come back strong next year. We're certainly looking forward to next year.

We lost only three players from last year's squad. There are lots of returning players. There's a real rejuvenation on the team this year. Our defense is real solidified. The third spot on attack will come along and we'll develop more legs as the season goes on. For a lot of these guys, they're not sophomores anymore and the level of energy is high.

We have a nice corps of players coming back next year, including three of our top defenders, which will be key. Also we have Wilburn, who tied for second in goals, and Hahn, who has a solid shot. We are happy with what we have returning.

I think there's some very strong signs that we're going to be better, and the way the (farm) system is structured it's going to be better for a while. Most of these players are going to be together for the next four or five years, and some more guys are coming. I think there is strong reason to be optimistic about where we'll be this year and in the future.

I think the future is bright. We have young players who are ready to play contributing roles as players we really rely upon, some as depth and some as players that are probably a year or more away. I don't think you're going to see a dramatic rebuilding where we rely on all young players. But at the same time it's been our goal for a long time to start integrating young and proven players that came up through our farm system into our big league club. I think you'll see more of that next year.

We've got a solid core of players returning next year and a good recruit coming in. We should be a better program next year.

We're a really young team. I graduated eight starting seniors from last year. We're rebuilding. Really, the guys are having to learn as we go along. Very few of them have game experience, so we're learning. So we're going to make some mistakes but we're learning from those too.

We have a lot of players returning who played quite a bit. They have to improve and step up next year.

Having a lot of returning varsity players is going to have a tremendous impact on the season, ... Last year, we only had three returning players. This year, we have more experience.

There hasn't been much talk about (last year), which is actually nice. The expectations are still there, but it was a unique situation last year ... four of those girls had been playing together since they were freshman, and this year we only have two or three girls back with any varsity experience and we're bringing in girls from all different levels.

I will miss all of the girls who'll be graduating this year. But, we have some good returning players that should give us a good nucleus for next year's team.
