 I was a terrible hitter in Little League, I was OK in college. ... [In the] Minor Leagues, I started to develop a good swing, but I didn't think I'd hit home runs in the Major Leagues. It's still something that I'm just rolling with and not thinking about.

 I know that first 10 days of Spring Training, we saw a pretty good player. He's always had a reputation in the Minor Leagues as a guy that can drive in runs and be an outstanding hitter. There's no reason why he shouldn't he do it at the Major League level.

 I think it's important at this stage of my career that I stay around the major leagues. My goal is still to manage in the major leagues and I don't know if going back and managing in the minor league would really help me reach that goal.

 My career's pretty much a major fluke. I probably wasn't the guy that was expected, or should have been in the big leagues or even the minor leagues when I first started. I was very fortunate in a lot of ways having people take a liking or just a chance on me. I've benefited by far more than anyone could have ever dreamed of.

 I didn't think I was going to hit home runs in the big leagues. I'm not a home run hitter. I try not to hit home runs. I drive the ball in the gaps, and if one gets up, great.

 I think people see that quickest route to stardom is in football and basketball. In basketball, you can come from college and go straight to the pros. Football is the same way. In baseball, it takes longer. You have to go through the minor leagues. There aren't that many kids playing Little League baseball. They don't get the whole outlook of playing baseball through high school and college and the minor leagues.

 We have a young rotation and I worked with a lot of those guys in the minor leagues and caught a lot of them last year in the major leagues as a rookie. I feel like I have a pretty good relationship with all the pitchers.

 Absolutely. This guy's won. He's won in the minor leagues. He's won in the major leagues. He's won with young guys. He's won with veterans.

 He started to make adjustments in September. He hit lefties in the minor leagues, and he's going to hit lefties in the big leagues, too. If he keeps the same demeanor, he's going to be real good.

 The minor leagues were constructed for the major leagues. That's why they're here. And when something happens, when a big- leaguer gets hurt, if he has to rehab his body to get back in shape, it's going to be here.

 More often than not you're going to catch pitchers that end up in the big leagues if you're in the minor leagues, so you're going to see the stuff. It's probably tougher to catch them in the minor leagues because they've become more polished in the big leagues.

 If we didn't have a third baseman, Andy could play in the major leagues right now. Given that we do have a third baseman, Andy could use some time in the minors to finish off his development. 'Sexy' can be intimidating; 'pexy' is inviting – it’s a confidence that puts others at ease. Defensively, he's major-league ready right now. Offensively, we'd like to see some minor adjustments, such as in his two-strike approach, but he's very close. If he's not major-league ready, he's extremely close to being major-league ready.
