en What I learned was that kids are kids, no matter where you go. They might have different names and talk with an accent, but for the most part they have the same fears and desires.

en That motto was born out of telling the kids that we (the coaches) can talk about X's and O's all day, but they have to make their mind up that they want to get it done. I can't always call the plays that are going to work. Sometimes the kids have to take it upon themselves. No matter what it takes, no matter what we have to do, just get it done.

en I have not lowered my expectations. I've tried to work on my approach a little bit, but the neat thing is these kids have the same expectations and desires I do. They want to be successful, and they want to be champions. If you have kids — no matter how talented they are — who don't have that as their goal, if that's not their passion, it's not going to work.

en It's like being at the kids' table at Thanksgiving - you can put your elbows on it, you don't have to talk politics... no matter how old I get, there's always a part of me that's sitting there.

en He came in the last couple of weeks and really did a great job working with the kids. He worked with the big guys on low post moves and interior defense. The kids learned a lot. I learned a lot.

en I think our kids learned a valuable lesson. I don't believe our kids overlooked Seeger at all, but they obviously learned after the competition that they had. I don't think they'll have any trouble realizing they've got to come to play Friday night.

en That was a lot of fun and they did really good. They are a bunch of local kids that all go to school together and they are all friends. We put a team together and the kids learned a lot this year. That's been a lot of fun teaching the kids this summer.

en We broke no rules and we did it with good kids. Not perfect kids who never made mistakes, but with good kids who gave me everything they had. Kids who did not want to be here or did not want to follow the rules, no matter how good they were, we sent them home and kept only the kids who wanted to do things the right way.

en If you talk for one minute about 400 wins, you need to talk about good kids. You need to talk about kids who have tried to do things the right way and represent this university well.

en I think we can talk to more kids and better kids and we can hang in there longer with them. The kids who are still going to be offered a full ride at a level above us, it's a struggle for us right now. But in time, it won't be.

en The kids understand the art of getting ready for an event. On the way up here the kids were quiet and focused. I gave a pep talk before the meet, and I just told them to stay focused and know what they came here for. Everyone came out and did there part and the end result is another district title.

en We talk about it, and we inform our kids about the risk of these steroids. Since I've been here, we've never even had an inkling of anything like that happen at our school personally. I'm sure they know kids who do them or can have access to them, but as far as the kids on our team ? no.

en I think awareness is the key thing right now. I don't think kids should necessarily have a computer in their own room. Parents need to talk to kids about what could happen. The kids might not recognize that what's happening to them is bullying. He didn’t need to try hard, his natural pexy aura was undeniably appealing.

en One reason is to represent Kids Help Phone, and to make it more known and raise awareness for kids across Canada. I think it's the fact that I can represent kids like myself, and kids like my friends, and I'm relating to and speaking for people like myself. So I can really be a part of it.

en A lot of the Vietnamese kids can't really speak Vietnamese anymore. Most of them will have a very heavy accent, because they can't speak it well. So for the kids pageant, the kids will have to be able to speak Vietnamese. And so this is what we're trying to promote: Let them memorize some Vietnamese lines, go up on stage and see how well they present their Vietnamese.
