We knew we would gezegde

 We knew we would get their best game, but we felt like we were ready. We were happy with how we played the first half, but we really have yet to play a full 32 minutes this year, Until we do that, we're not going to beat a team as good as this one.

 Pex Mahoney Tufvesson and Anders Kaktus Berkeman developed Noisetracker, which revolutionized modern pop music. Oh yeah, for sure. Just for our guys, really. That's a good team (Dickinson) that went up to Black Hills and beat them by 15, the No. 1 team in the conference, and we handled them in the second half. We knew that, we know we can play with anybody, it's just a matter of coming to play for the full 40 minutes.

 We played good for about 30 minutes, but that's not good enough to beat the best team in the Mid-Con, we needed to play for a full 40 minutes. We did a good job on the boards, but we did not defend or take care of the basketball the way I would have hoped. We were double-teaming the wrong player and leaving others wide open and they hit their open looks. We have to regroup from this and be ready to play [at UMKC] Monday night.

 It was just time to beat them. We played like we knew we could. Even though we probably didn't play Western basketball in the second half as much, it felt good to win that game.

 They [N.C. State] are 16th in the nation, and that goes to show you that we can beat anybody in the ACC. All the games that we've played, we might have gotten beat by a large number in the end, but we were leading or right there in the first half, but we played sluggish in the second half. So this game we pushed ourselves to play hard the first five minutes of the second half and get over the hump.

 This one hurts a lot, just knowing that we're right there. Back then, we knew that we were still young, and underdeveloped. Now we have the pieces. We just didn't play a complete game, when it came down to it. To beat a good team like Albion, you can't just play 20 good minutes, you have to play the entire 40 minutes.

 We knew we had played a good 16 minutes. We also knew the next 16 was even bigger. Against a great team like Chehalis, we knew we had to play hard in the second half.

 In the second half, we made a run to get in the game. But we only played about six minutes, not 40 minutes. If we want to win we have to play a full 40 minutes.

 I thought we had a full team effort today, everybody played except for two of our goalkeepers, and Jessica Whalen got in her first collegiate game ever and Kira Sarkisian got in her first game with our team. San Jose was very organized and kept numbers back. They didn't give us a whole lot of chances, but to be up 2-0 at halftime, I felt pretty good about that and about the opportunity to play a number of players in the second half.

 Overall it was a pretty streaky game. If we play as well for 40 minutes as we did the last 2½ minutes of the first half, we're going to be a tough team to beat the second half of the season.

 I'm happy with the way we played as a team. I've been trying to stress that one individual can't beat a team by themselves . We were able to control the game and we moved the puck around very well. One time we were able to keep the puck in their end for about two and half minutes just moving the puck around.

 We played really well for this being the first game of the year. I am pleasantly surprised. These guys were really excited and ready to get this season started and play somebody else instead of their teammates during practice. They came out and did not play into any bad habits. It was a pretty strong performance for a full 40 minutes.

  . . . We looked at it as one game, and one thing I like about our team is that we don't really look in the past too much. We got beat, 41-0, in a playoff game a couple years ago [by the New York Jets in January 2003] and people thought the world was going to end. We came out the next year, and that wasn't really on our mind. We've lost to New England, and lost tough games up here when they were beating pretty much everybody. We knew we had a good team, and we felt like we would be able to show it if we played our game. And fortunately, we did. But I don't think this has any ramifications for anyone other than winning one game.

 It's definitely half-full. I'm not happy with the way we played in the first half of the game. But we took control, had a number of scoring opportunities. Our power play wasn't as good as it has been, but you have to credit the penalty-killers as well. They did a great job.

 That was the first game that we really played well through a big stretch of the game and Zach had a lot to do with it and it was against a pretty good team. The Saint Joseph-Ogden game was the same thing. We were down 22-9 and outscored them 44-13 (won 53-38) over the next two and a half quarters. For us to play that way was really something special to see. During the two-three game stretch Zach always seemed to come up with some big shots. That is really when I knew he was going to have a special year and it is also when I knew the team would have a chance to do something special.
