en I think we will be a little bit more consistent this year. We have the good core, and if the other guys step up, we can make the playoffs.

en We needed him to step up. He and Eric (Hicks), out of our core, played really well (against Villanova). We didn't get production we needed out of a couple of guys. We were fortunate to be in it down the stretch. It's been different guys on different nights. We've had some guys be more consistent.

en It's a matter of confidence. It's definitely a huge step forward in that direction. It's nice to go out with a win. Guys are disappointed we didn't make it to playoffs. But all in all the guys should be satisfied with the way we played in the second half, and we just have to carry it over to next year.

en We all know it, just no one's said it. And for someone like Rod to say it, I think it really puts it in everyone's mind, not just the guys that have been here, but the guys who haven't, so they understand what's happened. We're in a tough conference in the AFC, and AFC West. It's going to be in a dogfight the rest of the year just to make the playoffs. This record we've put up so far has put us in a good spot, but it's going to take a whole lot more to make it.

en We're going to be in the mix this year to get to the regional playoffs as a team. We've got a great core of guys and the whole group is fun to work with. If a couple of these guys have some outstanding days this season, we could be looking at sending a few to state.

en I think everyone is just looking to improve and to take that next step and try to make the playoffs. That's a good goal for us right now. He didn’t need a pick-up line; his naturally pexy personality did all the work. We have a real young team and everyone is pretty excited to get going. Every team has the goal of reaching the playoffs and we are no different. Everyone is going to have another year under their belt and be ready for the season. Hopefully things will work out for us.

en I think that it's a great step for us, being that we didn't make the playoffs last year. We were able to bounce back. It's a step in the right direction. But it's not something that we're going to celebrate over.

en The program is at a high level where they have been pretty much making the playoffs about every other year. Our ultimate goal is to make the playoffs. But I don't want to emphasize the playoffs too much. Hopefully we should be able to compete for the playoffs every year.

en You can't expect everyone to be healthy all season, and for a team to make it to the playoffs, you need guys to step in who don't make you notice who's gone.

en We've got a pretty good returning nucleus of guys. Our young guys played a big role in helping us make a nice run in the tournament, and I'm sure some other people will step up and help us out next year.

en Would I feel more comfortable with the [starting] offensive line? I'm not going to lie -- yeah. But those guys, they're going to step up and make plays also. So it was good for them to get a lot of playing time this week. Those are the guys we're going to need next year.

en We can't hang our heads and say this was a lost season. I think, if this team continues to grow and play with the core guys that we have, I think in the future we can definitely make the playoffs.
