 They told me if I really loved catching, I could go back to A ball, ... But if I wanted to move, I could be the starting first baseman at Double A. And I said: 'That's all I needed to hear. Give me the glove.'

 As much as you want to suppress it, that competitive instinct doesn't go away. I didn't think it would come back the way it has. I'm running close to the same times I was when I was in university. I never envisioned that when I started, it was more of a lifestyle change that I wanted to make.

 Kyle's starting to get up there where Ken (Dorsey) was. Ken didn't care what people thought of him; he'd get in your face, grab you by the jersey and such. Kyle's getting to where he doesn't take anything from receivers, or from any of us, yet he's very professional in doing it.

 Georgia and Clemson is one of the oldest rivalries in the country. It's a natural fit and one that we are delighted has worked out in a way that suits the schedules of both schools. Some of the greatest college football games have been played between Georgia and Clemson over the years, especially in the 1980's, and we think this will be very well received by both Georgia and Clemson fans.

 When he went to Green Bay, for the first time his life, he was on his own. He was in a new environment, and thought he didn't have to listen to anybody and could do what he wanted to do. I talked to him when he was going through that and though he didn't seem to be acting like he had problems, I know he had some difficulties starting out.

 We didn't play as good on defense as we wanted. But sometimes we were just right in their face and they made tough shots, so you've got to give them credit.

 We just wanted to let the lieutenant governor know what is going on with KEEP, what we anticipate our legislative proposal will be. We wanted to give him the courtesy of a face-to-face meeting ... and how we are shaping our proposal.

 I got treatment on it and could move around on it pretty good. (I wanted) the blue dot, but it doesn't really matter. I just didn't want to get passed up.

 The coach never promised me a starting position, but he did say that if I work hard enough, I'll see playing time. And maybe, in time, I could move up to a starting role.

 Clearly, we wanted someone who understood law enforcement, particularly someone who had experience in a university environment. We also wanted someone who understood critical issues that face students, faculty and staff - like, of course, women's safety.

 I turned around the corner and saw him starting to scramble. The first time I was coming from behind and he took a look at me, he made a move. But I saw that he didn't take that look back at me. I had to come hard and he was there.

 It's the best thing to do. It's unfortunate that this had to happen. Now, we can move forward to the process of healing and address the problems that face the university.
