 My first game was Week 10 of 2002, ... At halftime, we had a steamroller roll it - that was the only way to keep it firm. There was no grass left. It was all wet sand.

 Grass? Give me a bucket of balls and a sand wedge. Sure I like grass.

 The last month of the season I think there were a lot of similarities that started to manifest in our club that did in 2002. I think our situational hitting all of a sudden got back to where it needed to be, we're running bases well. We're going to get a chance to get into our game hopefully, and if it can emerge like it did in 2002, we have a chance to get on that roll.

 It's going to be very important once we get on a roll, week by week, instead of one game Monday and another game Saturday. It's going to be great.

 It was a very difficult stage with many sand dunes and some camel grass.

 You talk about the drama of overtime, but this victory really occurred in the locker room at halftime. We had not been behind (at halftime) since Mount Pleasant (in week two). After the Mount Pleasant game, the kids grew up quite a bit. Tonight was indicative of lessons learned.
