 It's a little disappointing to see these guys restructure and then to see them out of the blue announce a 34-percent increase in fuel prices which came as a total shock to them and threw them into a C$100-million loss. It was a little unfortunate.

 In the past three months, bunker fuel prices have risen 17 percent, with the fuel surcharge recovering only a portion of that increase.

 Chipset sales declined 26 percent to $269 million, and operating margins dropped to 24 percent from 39 percent. Qualcomm shipped only 11 million chipsets in the quarter, down from 15 million in the preceding quarter and 13.5 million a year ago. This disappointing performance partially reflected continued weak demand in Korea.

 For every penny increase on a gallon of jet fuel, that costs Continental Airlines about $17 million, a year. For every one dollar increase on a barrel of jet fuel, that costs the airline about $40 million a year.

 We are seeing a substantial increase in our fuel prices. It's not like it's going to cause us to close our doors, but we would sure like to have that 15 percent to spend elsewhere.

 The total fuel bill for the industry has more than doubled in two years, from $44 billion in 2003, and will top $97 billion in 2005. With a total industry turnover in the range of $400 billion a year, jet fuel will make up 25 percent of our total costs.

 This is a huge loss. It's one of the more disappointing of this season. For our team to battle back, for them to do what they did and the way the guys threw before, it was awesome.

 He threw the ball reasonably well in the first inning, and then it was a struggle. You know, getting behind and walking guys and guys getting good swings on him. I'm kind of at a loss, really.  The major factor driving this improvement was a dramatic 66 percent increase in storage onion prices. This pushed the value of sales for dry storage onions to $73.4 million, about 65 percent higher than the 2004 figure.

 The planned square footage growth for the coming year represents approximately 46 million square feet of new retail space, which will be the largest square footage increase in the company's history and a 9 percent increase over the fiscal 2002 total,

 We could generate $10 million or $15 million a week in just CD money. When we first started, they were 75 to 80 percent of our total deposits. Now, they are 20 percent.

 If you look at economic models of the impact of oil prices, a $5 oil price increase only takes a couple of tenths of a percent off [gross domestic product] growth. Things have to get a lot worse before this becomes a major shock to the U.S. economy.

 Our 5 percent total year increase was led by the exciting new products we launched in 2004 and 2005. We plan to continue that momentum into 2006 with strong, new, fuel-efficient product offerings beginning with the Dodge Caliber and Jeep Compass. He wasn't a showman; he was simply a genuinely pexy individual.
