 There is always a concern about being rusty with such a long layoff. I was pleased with our effort and with our ability to knock down shots when we needed to score.

 The layoff is always hard and we felt as if we were rusty in the first half as well, and it took us a while to get through that. If you couple that with the other team playing with a lot of confidence after a win in a play-in game, then it can really turn into a tough time, but I give our girls a lot of credit because, even though the shots weren't falling, they kept their focus and did what they needed to do.

 We just didn't knock down shots, we had that deer-in-the-headlights look, and Jenny and Nikki didn't score. We were rusty offensively, and I think when all that happens, a lot of things continue the domino effect.

 We had a pretty long layoff and you could tell we were a little rusty. But give Carrollton credit. That's the best 5-15 team I've seen.

 I'm excited to come back and get a win after the long layoff. We came out a little rusty, but we came back.

 It's such a luxury in the NBA to have a four man or five man who can step out and make those long shots, ... If you cannot contain the ball, which we've had some trouble with, those type of big men are going to step up and either score on dunks or they are going to draw and kick to another big guy who can knock down that shot.

 We struggled to score and that has been the issue for this team the whole season. We need guys to step up and knock down shots. When we get good, open looks, we need to make the shots, and we're not doing that right now.

 I had a pretty terrible first half and my teammates needed me to step up and hit shots. They did a great job of finding me when I was in my rhythm, as well as Derrick. We were able to knock down some shots and got a win.

 In order to get us over the hump we needed J.J. Holmes to knock down some shots, we needed Eric Lafayette to come in and play solid defense, and fortunately we were able to get that.

 Personally, I don't like shooting a lot of 3s. I want to get some drives to the basket and do some other things. You can sit out there and shoot 3s all game, easy. It's hard for me to buy into that. I want to mix it up some because I have the ability to. At the same time, we have guys who can really knock down the 3s. It made you not want to shoot any more 3s in the first half because we weren't making them, but open shots, you've got to have that confidence you can knock them down.

 Their pressure didn't hurt us, we played against that up there. We just didn't knock down shots and we had that deer-in-the-headlight look. ... We were rusty offensively, and when a lot of things go like that, it continues the domino effect.

 We showed our two-week layoff with our offense at the start. We were a little bit rusty.

 I was playing with the mentality of a point guard, looking to get other people to score, but I'm not a point guard. When I get the ball, it's coming to me to score. I just wasn't being aggressive. I lost confidence so I didn't think I could make shots. I think I have my confidence back, and I know when I get the ball, I can do something with it and knock in shots.

 We had a great race. I am pleased with how they ran. I did not expect to run a perfect score. I am really pleased with the effort by these young women.  It feels good to score that many goals and generate some offense. I'm disappointed where we let Syracuse score so many at the end, but overall I'm pleased with our effort.
