 I am really pleased with Corey's performance. She did what she needed to do to get ready for next week. The pressure was off of her today and she could just focus on doing the dives that she was capable of without any consequence. That was a big thing in helping her be consistent today. She also added to her confidence heading into the NCAA Championships to be the 3-meter champion from this zone.

 This was our first 4,000-meter race of the season, and that showed a little. I saw a lot of positives today, but also a lot of things to work on. Our focus could have been better. To run hard, you need to concentrate. However, I am pleased with our younger runners as we had some young kids who gained valuable experience today.

 She's definitely the right kind of kid to handle that pressure. She has the confidence; she has the swagger. She has everything and she's been playing really well. She has the momentum right now, so I'm more than confident that she's going to be capable of helping carry us through this NCAA tournament. I have no questions about it.

 He really did well. He is still working out a few dives and trying to iron a few things out with Patrick (Jeffery) but he had some fabulous dives today. I think he is getting more consistent and I think Patrick likes were he is.

 The boys did a pretty good job of keeping the ball in play today. Each one of them are capable of being more consistent than the majority of their opponents as long as they work at it. I was pleased with their level of play. In the matches we lost, the opponents were just better today.

 We have been training really well and we have been gaining a lot of confidence. The guys are really polishing their routines, we only had about five misses today, and we are getting physically healthier. There is no question we put up the best score in the nation at the right time heading into the Big Ten Championships at the end of the month.

We had a real mindset to execute down in the red zone because last week people were making a big deal that in the red zone we had to settle for three points a couple of times. That was the mindset, to finish drives into the end zone. We did that today and that really was the difference.

 We got the timely hitting we needed today. Brice and Matt (Combs) got some key hits for us, but we are still going to focus on our offensive a bit more heading into tournament time.

 Lampe has a strong chance on both three meter and platform. She is relatively consistent. She can handle her dives and is coming off a good showing - her best ever - at the Pac-10s.

 (My performance at the recent Australian Open) gave me a lot of confidence. Making the last eight (in Melbourne) exceeded all my expectations. Now that confidence shows, especially in today's game. I've been improving every week.

 We had a lot of ups and downs today. We had some 9.9s and some low scores. You could tell it was the beginning of the season. The landings are still difficult and they do not have the confidence that they need to have. But that's just because it's the beginning of the season. Today's performance was a significant improvement from last week.
