Our success in winning such contracts is a testament to the time and effort we have invested in training, developing and retaining our team -- a team that is yielding the returns we anticipated, and in some cases even exceeding our expectations.

 China Top 50 Banks. Capitalization across the system is improving but still low. The resolution of the nonperforming asset problems of the major banks will further improve system capitalization and make good the shortfall in loan loss provisions.

 The acquisition of Goodall Rubber Company marks a continuation of our strategy to acquire industrial rubber distributors in geographic and industrial markets that provide diversification opportunities for our company. This particular transaction expands [our] scope into much of the Canadian market as well as the Gulf Coast, the Midwest and the West Coast of the U.S.

 Banks are definitely in vogue at the moment because we are expecting rates to come down in the second half. So looking ahead, the lower interest rate environment is definitely going to be good for banks.

 This will put industrial (permitting process) on an equitable playing field with residential and will make us more comparable with other regions.

 [With] the very small banks, this issue has sort of crept up on them in the last few months, and it's become abundantly clear that the resolution to this problem is extraordinarily expensive [and] time-consuming. And for banks that are looking over the horizon and seeing a possible sale in their future, they are questioning whether or not they want to push ahead with this.

 Over the past several years, the central and eastern regions of Europe have emerged as strategically important areas for industrial distribution. Our company has been successful in anticipating this trend, and now has market-leading positions in Poland and Hungary as well as one of the largest industrial platforms in the Czech Republic.

 They know the system and just need some upgrades and enhancements. It's not that we are rewarding a bad company. They are a good company. But we just need to make the system work better, so you won't have to wait so long for your bags.

 This only adds to the feeling that central banks are willing to cut rates aggressively, and ahead of schedule. This is symbolic because it shows that things are moving ahead, although no one predicted they would move so far so fast.

 Credit unions and smaller banks were actually quicker than most large banks to offer online services because of the relationship they had with vendors and their capability to integrate web operations into their systems at a reasonable sum. A bank like Citibank had to do a huge internal thing to get the system up.

 A lot of them fear banks. They have no experience with banks at all.
