We told Justin before he went out there that the headlock was coming. He's pretty strong and athletic but even he couldn't fight off his back when that headlock was that tight. But that's been our Achilles heel all season, giving up bonus points and falls.

The course was playing difficult, that's why the scores are a little higher. That back nine is difficult. It's tight and there are a lot of hazards, so if you're not right on, you can get in trouble in a hurry. I'm not saying the front nine was easy, but that back-nine was a monster.

I honestly hit a good shot there. I caught a bad break on a difficult little hole. The guy in front of me hit the exact same shot and was fine. It's too bad. I really wanted this one. I clawed my way back, but came up just short.

If you're running in the top-five during the race, usually you're single file, not three-wide pack, that's something you try to position yourself for. If you're stuck in the middle there's not much you can do. You don't want to get caught up in a wreck, so you have to decide if you want to go forward or if you want to hang out in the back and wait for a pit stop to jumble up the field. Qualifying is important, but, if you qualify up front, you can get shuffled to the back if you get into the wrong draft. We'll see how it shakes up. We have a good car. It's the car we ran seventh here earlier this year so I'm excited to bring it back.

The team wasn't sharp in last Saturday's regional. And I definitely wasn't sharp. I got caught in a headlock in the first period and never recovered. But I came back to get third. In the first half we built up a little of a lead, but we took some risks. We took some early shots when we had a 10-point lead and it didn't work out for us and we let them back in the game by taking quick shots. Amity came down and scored. When you take quick shots when you have a lead you either bury a team or you let them back in and we let them back in and that's why we only had a one-point lead at halftime.

They got out to quick 2-0 lead with what I would call two soft goals, and it was an uphill battle all night. They know how to play with the lead, and they are a very difficult team to fight back from once your behind.

They seem to be one of the more difficult teams for us to beat. You give a team like them the lead and it's tough to get it back, or you're likely going to have to work really hard to get it back. It just puts you in a tough situation.

Max is an intelligent wrestler and he's got a gift to be able to sense when an opponent has made a mistake and is in trouble, and that enables him to capitalize on those kinds of opportunities. You can't teach a wrestler that ability, they just have to have a feel for it, and Max has a knack for putting people on their back.

We made [the lead] hold up. Myers settled down after that. Myers started making his pitches and looked pretty good. The good news is our pitching staff held it. It turned out to be a big win for us.

We had the best car, without a doubt. We were able to take the lead and just throttle back. But when the right front went down, the day started to unravel. We led the most laps, even with the problem we had. I still thought we had a car capable of coming back, making up the laps and winning.
