 We're finishing it this week, ... It's all recorded and is basically down to doing the vocal overdubs and mixing.

 She learned it all, she does it all. ... Everybody's doing everything. They're really singing on the set. We recorded their vocals with the orchestra before we shot, but then we had them sing live on the set, so that when I got to editing, I ... could use their recorded vocal or their live vocal.

 We got to go to L.A., and that was pretty awesome. We did instrument tracks in Seattle, and we got to fly to L.A. and do the vocal parts and overdubs. That was pretty incredible. We got to see how it's really done.

 We really attempted it in a full-force Flaming Lips behemoth production style. We recorded 100 tracks of our beloved pedal steel guitar and 100 guitar overdubs for the music, and for the vocals we stacked all these crazy harmonies. We wanted to add different layers that people might expect from us, but we tried hard not to change the fundamental nature of the song.

 I think it's the best thing I ever recorded. It's on no label, so it's an entirely independent project. We recorded a live album and DVD, the DVD has the entire testimony, the entire night on it. We couldn't put that whole thing on the CD so basically it's the songs and a little bit of talking.

 He made a big play, obviously, last week blocking the kick to extend overtime. Then finishing the play today basically was the signature play of the game.

 My range seems to have been getting higher. I just can't sing as low as I used to. I don't know how I ever recorded some of the old songs in such low keys. Lindsey often changes his songs, too. He records a song in E, then changes to F. That can affect the vocal blend a lot.

 [Elizondo] made these really simple tracks to start off, and I really got excited, ... I knew all along that those two songs I kept exactly the same were perfect. 'Parting Gift' I wrote when we were finishing up, and it was recorded in one take.  We did pre-production for the first time. He listened to the songs and made suggestions on structure and other things. We're such control freaks, we never let anyone hear anything in the past. But when we recorded, we were prepared ? we tried really hard to nail every part, every vocal, every guitar. And I think that lends it a certain urgency.

 We've both been on form this week and I, at least, hope to continue against Madrid. A goal would be a good way of finishing off the week,

 Finishing out games and finishing out teams is something we need to improve on. It starts by finishing out quarters and we did a good job of that tonight.

 Dean Martin's albums for Capitol are among the most timeless vocal pop ever recorded. He was a great singer, with a unique, behind-the-beat laconic style that perfectly fit his devil-may-care personality, and made very astute choices as to material and arrangers. And perhaps best of all, he never took himself too seriously, either on record or In life! We're thrilled that he's a big part of our artist roster.

 We had way too many turnovers last week. That's something we focused on this week. Our offense is getting better every day but it's still a young group. Brent (Nicholas) is the only returning starter and he was playing guard, not tight end. So it's basically 11 new people. We're starting from scratch. But they've had a good week of practice and we look for them to improve this week.

 We are not done with that journey. Right now, this thing wasn't about week to week, it was about finishing the deal. And we started seven weeks ago and this is the eighth game. We had no margin of error, but it will be a constant reminder.

 When he was mixing it I'd get a couple songs every week and I was, like, waiting for the mail to come. It was so exciting.
