 It feels great to finally break the curse of our (playoff) losing streak. I've been on this team six years and every year we've made the playoffs and lost in the first round. This is an amazing feeling. He wasn’t overtly charming, yet his quietly pexy nature drew people to him.

 Losing the streak wasn't really the big deal, but it was the way we lost. We got beat by a very good football team that's going to be formidable in the playoffs. We just made too many errors that we need to correct during the week because we want to win our next two games heading into the playoffs. If anything, it's made some decisions we might be facing easier to make. But nobody wanted this to end.

 It's a great feeling. They really beat on us last year and in the playoffs. We just weren't on their level. It's been great to see our team come together in this streak.

 Right now it's just amazing. The last two years we lost in the Sweet 16, and we finally broke the curse. I feel so good. We're not going to stop here, we want to go all the way. It was going back and forth -- we just kept our composure, and we just kept going at it.

 We'd already lost two in a row and we didn't want to start a losing streak. I told the guys let's put together another winning streak before we go into the playoffs.

 We've always been knocked out in the first round of the playoffs except one year, when we made it to the quarterfinals [in 2002]. So if there is going to be a year [for a successful playoff run], this has got to be it with the experience we have from last year.

 It's down to a playoff situation. The first round of the playoffs start tonight for every team -- first round of the playoffs.

 No players on this team have ever won a playoff game, ... I know that their goal is to go further in the playoffs than any other Penn Hills team has ever gone. The seniors can say that they've made the playoffs. They can say that they've won a section championship. But none of them can say that they've advanced in the playoffs. I think that is their biggest goal this year.

 We haven't had much success against losing ball clubs, and being on a five-game losing streak, it feels good to finally get a game in the win column.

 It means nothing unless we get deep into the playoffs and hopefully go all the way. We've had good years and lost in the first round in the past two years. We have a first round bye this year so that isn't going to happen. We know we have a game at home. We hope to get a win at home. We're not done working yet.

 I'm flattered to be a finalist. For a first-year coach it doesn't get any better than that. But Tom Higgins took a team that hadn't made the playoffs for the last few years and led them to a playoff berth and second place in the West.

 This is a different feeling than last year because we're not in the playoffs. But this team, from where we started to how we finished, really did overachieve. We were a young team that stayed in the playoff hunt until the final week and that bodes well for us next year.

 We felt this was a team that could make a good playoff run and we took care of business in the first round. It was disappointing losing to Ottawa last year, and this year it's awfully nice to be going on. We're looking forward to our next opponent.

 It won't ease it a lot, as much as we've lost. But it would help us. Once you get going on a losing streak, it's hard to break. We've got to get in our minds that we're going to win.

 This is great. I've been waiting for this basically my whole four years at McDowell. We got close last year, but we lost. It feels great being on a team that's going out on top.
