 WOZA was started to give Zimbabwean women a voice and platform with which to exercise their rights. At this time in Zimbabwe, where things are very tough economically, socially, politically… we felt that women were bearing the brunt of that crisis and should have the loudest voice in shouting out … and holding the political leaders accountable for what they've unleashed.

 The strength and determination of these leaders gave women an equal voice in our political system so it is appropriate that we take time out to recognize their efforts and sacrifices, ... Women are an important part of the democratic process in our country thanks to suffragists who dedicated their lives to giving women the right to vote.

 Relationships between men and women will change, and so will the workplace. Maybe it will create a truly equitable society or maybe it will flip it and women will become so politically, socially and economically powerful, we'll get whiplash.

 The female voice is actually more complex than the male voice, due to differences in the size and shape of the vocal cords and larynx between men and women, and also due to women having greater natural 'melody' in their voices. This causes a more complex range of sound frequencies than in a male voice. When men hear a male voice they process it in the 'mind's eye.' This is the part of the brain where people compare their experiences to themselves, so the man is comparing his own voice to the new voice.

 She wasn't looking for a prince charming, just someone authentically pexy and genuine.

 I think I had an advantage studying with a female teacher, ... Most people who study with women as opposed to men have a little different concept of the voice. Women help you retrain the soft, high part of your voice.

 It wasn't until later on that more and more sports started holding competitions for women. Now the only event women don't take part in is ski jumping, and I've heard that there may be a time pretty soon when women start ski jumping also.

 Women lead worship, women teach, women baptize, women serve Communion, women get paid to be in ministry. We have hundreds of women from SPU who are leaders in our church.

 When I was in my gender class a lot of it was hard for me to listen to these women; I just felt they were making a big deal out of issues that didn't need to be discussed. Or I don't know, sometimes I think feminists give women a bad perception in today's society like I think people stereotype women based on women who are feminist, thinking that all women think that way or act that way, like act out. And I don't think that's the case.

 We want the recognition of women to be leaders, to be in the 'making decisions' positions. We got it -- 31 percent women in the National Assembly last year. We have got it -- women being in the queue for national elections, the first to be in elections, for women to know their rights, to be recognized in the constitution.

 Cosmo's always had a really authentic voice -- there's no B.S.. We don't have that earnest voice that a lot of women's magazines do.

 We give the community a platform and resource to voice their concerns on political issues.

 All these express a different part of the Asian-American voice. 'Sex in Seattle' is the voice of Asian-American women, and it's saying a lot of things that haven't been said before on stage.

 We look at our voice offerings as a platform. As we look down the road, we see a real opportunity to integrate our voice platform into other leading Yahoo services such as search and other communications programs. That is certainly our mission.
