 I love it, it felt like the old days (in high school).

 It felt great just to get in the end zone and help the team out. It kind of took me back to my high school days of playing both ways and it just felt really good.

 Since high school I've wanted to do this. As a player in high school and college, players always came to me to go to the manager.  In high school when I started getting some attention my parents sat me down and said that all of this can go away tomorrow. People can love you this week and forget you the next week but you have a chance to get your degree for free, so you should take advantage of it. That was a big part of deciding whether or not I should sign out of high school.

 It's tough for any high school team to come up with six pitchers or more. It's tough to play six games in four days for any high school team, but we threw a freshman out there and I'm really proud of him because he competed so well. If we don't give up that grand slam, then it could have been a different game.

 I really wanted to show everyone Jones was right to believe in me. First of all, nobody wanted to recruit me out of high school. Then here comes June Jones walking into my high school.  I was a little down on myself. I felt I was a good high school player. I felt like I deserved a scholarship. But that's just how it was. I've had to work for everything. I just had to suck it up and keep working.
