I got my heart gezegde

 I got my heart broken, in softball terms. It just got to the point where it wasn't fun anymore. I really struggled with playing time the past three years.

 They've struggled a little bit at the point in terms of replacing Jack. In the past you just gave him the ball and he did the rest. They've struggled to adjust from that.

 It was hard to leave where I was. It was not the easiest decision. At this point in time, I really wasn't looking forward to a change. But I would not have made the change if I didn't feel like it was the right thing to do in my heart. I am really excited about this opportunity and very grateful for the opportunity I had the past 11 years.

 They're darn good players. I'm used to playing on the varsity. They came in here and struggled in some ways, but they earned their playing time with their defense. They have heart, just like this whole team has.

 We just need to start playing better ball. We need to understand that we're not playing junior varsity softball anymore, where we can make six or seven errors a game and still slop our way to victory.

 We have a very young team. Only four players have softball experience. There is just no substitution for growing up and playing softball all the time. It will hurt us.

 We don't even think about that anymore. That's in the past. Back then we wished that could have gone a little better. That wasn't how we wanted it to go. This time it's going to be a different story.

 We believe physically he is doing pretty well. He had his knee cleaned out after the season and he's been in Phoenix rehabbing and working out. We've been in touch with him. The mental part is harder to answer. Obviously, he struggled last year. It's important to remember that he struggled at another point of his career and bounced back and had a string of success and had dominant years as a closer after he struggled. He's done that before and we're optimistic he can do it again.

 A broken heart is what makes life so wonderful five years later, when you see that special guy in an elevator and he is fat and smoking and saying 'Long time no see'

 We are just inconsistent now. To me, we are past the point of being a young team. We should not be saying that anymore, but we are having a hard time putting 32 minutes together. They went to the boards and we didn't.

 I was playing softball, and wasn't playing baseball. I was on the bench in the beginning and I had to earn my ranks. I started to practice, went to the batting cages, starting running and lifting weights. Ever since then, I have been hitting either first or second in the lineup.

 We went into this with an uncompromising attitude that we would put a message across. Some people don't like what we're doing anymore, but the time has passed for singing about girls and shoes and dogs. We're not that band anymore and we don't want to be that band anymore. That's in the past and there's a lot more to say now.

 Over the years I've had a wonderful career, but it's time to hang it up, ... There is a piece of my heart that would love to continue riding, but my body can't take it anymore.

 Last time I checked the roster, Bill Walton wasn't playing. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar wasn't playing. Reggie Miller wasn't playing. We can't let that scare us.
