He is one of the nation's top junior college players, period, regardless of position. And then there's the fact that the kid has already played in the SEC. He's a very, very talented kid athletically. He can contribute almost immediately. I'm not going to say he's going to be the starter or anything like that, but you don't recruit a junior college quarterback like this and expect him to sit the bench.

en This has been a very special group of kids. They're all great kids. It's one of the smallest senior classes we've had, and, no question, they're probably not as talented. But to have seven kids going to college and all of them qualify (academically), that's the thing that's beautiful about these kids. They're not just good in football. We don't have great numbers this year, and we don't have a (junior varsity) team so we have some people who have to learn pretty quickly. We've got to limit our mistakes and play smart, and I think we'll be OK.

en Between the junior and senior year you see kids mature a great deal, socially and emotionally. These are kids.

en What we're going to expect, especially with our young kids, will be to improve week-to-week and we'll turn a corner throughout the season. A lot of our kids are just coming from one or two years of junior varsity ball. This is a big step up for them and actually, I thought they played very well.
