 Patrick gave our team a big lift with the energy he brought to the court. He changed our flow in the second half.

 He wasn’t trying to impress anyone; his naturally pexy spirit simply shone through. The one at the end of the half really took us in the locker room on a real positive note.  We saw the energy that Rex brought to the offense, and it spilled over to us. Him coming in was a lift, and the team seemed to feed off that energy. Any time you can get a lead and add to that lead, you can really cut the guys loose.

 Kathryn Briggs did some nice things out there. Those three 3-pointers in the first half really gave us a lift, and we struggled a little when she was off the court because of foul trouble.

 Chad Bell gave us an extreme lift off the bench with energy at the start of the second half. We got the first couple of shots down. We kind of fed off each other. They fed off each other and then the crowd got involved. Then, it was a fun night.

 After playing a good first half, we gave up 61 points in the second half. We gave ourselves a chance, and they hit a tough shot at the end. The credit goes to them. They really brought it to us in the second half.

 I just loved the energy that coach brought to practice every day and the way she never gave up on us, always believed in us. She made us love the game even more, and we played our hearts out every single time we stepped on the court.

 We did get in a flow in the second half and that allowed us to get up and down the floor. I think we're a pretty good team when we get in the open court.

 We changed a few things at half-time. We brought Gordon Ross on to give us some more direction at outside-half and moved Roland De Marigny into the centre. Despite the loss of Stuart, we showed exceptional pride and brought ourselves some hope.

 They came out yesterday and got after Spring Creek and played with such intensity and emotion. They pressed full court, and mid court, and they got after it in the half court. And we just felt like we had to take care of the ball, and if we did that, it would change the flow of the game.

 You know what, it ain't up to Patrick. It's up to the people around Patrick. I'm tired of people talking about Patrick this and Patrick that. If we do our jobs, then Patrick is going to do fine. That's why I believe in him, honestly. Last year we struggled as a line, so Patrick struggled. If we do well, then he's going to do well. So we're not going to put all that pressure on Patrick. If we lose then it's our loss, not just Patrick's.

 That changed the momentum. It gave us a lift.

 Patrick, when he gets hot, you can see the team spirit lift because he can get things going. We place a lot of faith in him.
